When that water resort in Cuba is out of your reach...pack up yourself and enjoy the natural waterline Lake Ontario provides. Relax here with your family ANY time of the year. The seasons and scenery change, but the lake is always so beautiful and calming. Take the negativity out of these uncertain times to go admire something steadfast and permanently a pat of Durham. Picnic, and stroll to your hearts contentment on the many trails Oshawa has to discover at its waterfront. I have seen everything at the lakefront..from giant across the sea ships in port, to Canada Day every year. PLEASING for your entire family!

Also a great place for family's or if you are just a couple. There is a beach area park place for kids and a splash pad for kids. Great restaurant were you can sit on there patio or inside The food is good as well as the beer lol prices are reasonable.

Great place to visit in the mornings for long walks, Beaches are clean, grounds are kept clean and so are the bathrooms on site. However, the population of Brampton seems to show up on Sundays and can overwhelm you with the smell of curries. I love curry but the parties of people can be to much.

We hadn’t been to the park in a while and were very surprised. It is a gem! The beach is nice and the splash pad was incredible. There is lots of shade to enjoy a picnic. We were told that if want to bbq you’ll have to get a permit from the city. Great job Oshawa!

Nice, clean beach, great walking trail along the waterfront, huge trees and picnic tables, playground and splash pad for the kids and lots of free parking! Ice cream truck, restaurant and music festivals during the Summer. Pokémon Go fans will love it here!

This park is nestled at the foot of Oshawa and is the perfect getaway for parents, kids, and anyone who loves parks. There is a awesome playground and water splashworks for the kids, a sandy beach, a paved, scenic walking trail with plenty of benches to sit and take in the scenery, plenty of places to have a picnic, barbeque, or family gathering. There are public washrooms on site and there is also a food canteen selling ice cream, hot dogs, french fries, water, soft drinks, etc. Great place to relax, or take the kids for a day at the beach. Little jewel of Oshawa.

There has to be a good reason why so many people travel from Toronto and other parts the GTA to enjoy our park. As well as being a great place to picnic it is also home to the Oshawa Community Museum, many sports fields for ball and soccer, local walking and bike trails including the waterfront trail, and just a short jaunt to the Second Marsh Conservation Area. There is lots to do here and it is a great place for a picnic with lots of shade, picnic tables, splash pads, parking and access to the beach and waterfront. There is also a food concession on site and place to buy fries and ice cream . Come for an hour stay for the day.
The park is also home to Autofest, Canada Day celebrations, Ribfest, and many more events. Also check out the Victorian Teas at Oshawa Community Museum.

I do not like this waterfront park sadly because of the industry surrounding it. I feel the waterfront could be updated. However, there is a lovely play area for the children and a couple interesting museums. Lots of space to run and picnic. I prefer walking at the Whitby Harbour!

We went to Lakeview park because our cousin was with her school drawing portraits. she was brilliant, but the large park is worth a look. The Lake so vast. We visited the little Museum on the grounds and watched the ladies making some fine embroidary with beads. It also has a little gift shop.

Stopped here for a quick walk with my wife and to just enjoy the scenery and we were very pleased.

Lots of space to walk and enjoy and it is kept very well.

Ended up having lunch at the concession stand and were very surprised to have an actual BBQ'd hot dog and cheeseburger made on the spot with a good tasting poutine!

Well worth every penny and lots of free parking too!

Don't miss going here for a walk or the afternoon!
