Great area to walk around and enjoy the scenery and peacefulness. Various easy family things to do. Kids can run around freely and has two playgrounds. Peonies are beautiful during the festival.

It was a gloomy afternoon, but this didn't stop us from exploring the Oshawa Valley Botanical Garden. Some of the flowers were almost done blooming, however, what I enjoyed the most was seeing and meeting people from all ages just leisurely enjoying the sun, breeze...More

I love this place. Even when the peony festival is not in season, there are still plenty of flowers to see. Well laid out and a great place to take photos for a special occasion.

There were no gates to get into the Botanical Gardens, so I don't think there would be any open/close times. You should be able to visit whenever you like. It's a public space.
