This was a good place by the lake to check out! Kids enjoyed it! They learned some Oshawa history and well without places like this people have no clue about how things where way back when!

Located at Lakeview Park which is gorgeous! Three buildings/museums at the one location. Very handy! The Oshawa Historical Society work VERY hard to keep this museum(s) alive and always have great events! A MUST see! And memberships are always welcome!

Attended the mothers day tea this year. Evocative of a typical English cream tea. Served by volunteers in historical dress who were entertaining and knowledgeable. We were given a tour of the three historical homes on the site, Very interesting and most enjoyable.

This was a neat little tour with a taste of Oshawa's history. Not every room was available to see, however. Cost is by donation. Unlike at Parkwood Estates, you can take photos. There was an archaeological dig and colouring pages for kids.

What can I say ? This is a wonderful place and well managed. Keeping it simple and accessible is what it's all about. Great place to take the kids on a day off.

Went for the annual Lamplight Tour and had great fun. Volunteers and staff were in costume and members of the Civic Band added great holiday cheer. Lots to see and do and the cost is minimal. A great family outing any time of the year.
