Welcome to a fresh approach to Niagara wines – a balance between tradition and innovation created by two passionate brothers working together to bring out the best in Niagara grapes. Yannick and Greg have spent their life among the vines starting as children in the terraced vineyards of their grandfather and then on the 45 acre estate in Niagara for the past thirteen years. *Between the Lines Winery does not provide transportation of any kind. Please arrive at the winery at your reservation start time.

I'll say this first.....i almost walked out with the welcome we got when we walked thru the door. I've gone to tons of wine tastings and never have i had such a sour experience at a winery.
My wife and i typically choose the smaller more independent businesses and wineries and this was no exception. My wife had read the reviews, looked at the wines offered and prices and decided she wanted to support this business, i agreed.
Upon our arrival to the parking lot, it had a few cars (and no tour buses) but was by no means packed. We walk into the bar area and were met with a server/staff member that immediately asked us what we were there for (I thought a wine tasting was pretty obvious) but we indicated we were there to do just that. She then asked if we had reservations (which we did not). Upon our response she rolled her eyes and gasped. She then proceeded to agree to give us a tasting but in a hurried manor as if our business or our status was somehow less important because we didn't have a reservation. From that point onward our experience at the winery was absolutely ruined. We did have another server at the bar actually help us with the tasting and she was quite pleasant, helpful and explained the wines quite well. It was only the second server's recovery of the situation that got us to buy any wine at all.
In the end just a little care needs to be taken by staff to change the experience and turn that experience into revenue, this was clearly a failure of that.
We decided to take our business down the street to Caroline's winery and because the wine and experience was infinitely better, and we bought an entire box of wine there!!

Our tasting at Between the Lines was the highlight of our first wine tour of 2020. Even wearing her protective face shield, Elaine was warm and funny and very knowledgeable. The charcuterie plate was fabulous and we learned a way to love ice wine! I won’t give the secret away...make a trip to the winery.

This is a family-estate winery (originally from Stuttgart, Germany) started with production of Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir.
Using only their own grapes, they went from 3 to 11 varieties and they have their 10th anniversary in 2020, plus another expansion on its way with adding new varieties - very exciting plans!
They take pride in their production and it shows on the palate.
We had a very enjoyable and entertaining sampling experience thanks to Elaine, giving us a table from where we could see the whole property... She was very knowledgeable about the winery's background and the production and could even threw in a little German to please our friends who speak German as well.
Definitely recommend BTL's vibe, authentic hospitality and unique selection of wines. Try their crisp dry Riesling, the Gewürztraminer and Lemberger Reserve!

Although it may seem strange to drink fine wine out of a can but this place pulls it off. Our tasting server was extremely knowledgeable and clearly proud of the brand. Awesome experience! 10/10 recommend.

Had a wonderful blind tasting here for our group of nine. Elaine was absolutely amazing, very educated, and so passionate about wine. She was able to speak about wine to the novices as well as the experienced members of our group, and make it interesting. We also had multiple team members come to chat with us over the course of our tasting. Loved every moment of being there, 10/10 would go again. Thanks guys!

What a very personable experience we had at Between the Lines. Danica went above and beyond in making sure we enjoy every bit of our experience. We did not order the charcuterie board in advance, but they were still able to accomodate our request... and boy it was all worth it! It was made by Chelsea and very scrumptious and well incorporated.
Also having the tasting experience sorrounded by the Barrels and Stainless Steel Fermenting tanks is very unique. This Winery is a must to Visit!

My husband and I came to New York to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, get away from kids and see a few musicals. We ended up staying two extra days due to flight cancellations and I’m so glad that happened. Since we didn’t have tickets we searched what we could find last minute. We found Between the Lines. I love Jodi Picoult and that was one of the reasons we looked into it, even though it is an off broadway show.
The story is so original, the music, the voices and their quality was nothing less than extraordinary!!
We really enjoyed the production and can’t say enough good things about it.
It’s excellent to see it with young people. I will be coming back with my daughters! I know they will enjoy it.

For the last few years we would drop in to the store on our way to Niagara because we really enjoy the wine. But this year we did a tour and one stop happened to be this winery. They were amazing and way they presented each wine with different cheeses has totally changed the way I look at wine. The staff were funny and knowledgeable and it was a great experience.

We have visited this winery several times and are always impressed with the friendly atmosphere and quality wines. This weekday visit was no exception. I pre booked a winetasting time as was recommended these days and we were welcomed warmly by Elaine who was our private tasting host. We chose 5 wines to taste and each was described and explained along with recommendations for appropriate food pairings. Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Izumi White, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were sampled. All were excellent although the Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Chardonnay were our faves. If you crave a unique, family style and satisfying winery experience, this is definitely the place.

Between the lines was a great place to visit & sample locally made wines. Our guide was Taylor who gave us description of the wines made at Between the Lines. The wines taste great & there's something for everyone! The place is clean & very beautiful!
