The Cheese shop is pleasant and the server is very knowledgeable. There are a number of local and international cheeses available. All in all it's very attractive until you look at the price. Prices are per 100 grams and they are usually in the 8 to $10 range. This means that a kilo will cost close to $100, or $50... More

Cheese Secrets is located on Market Street, just 1 block off Queen Street, next to the Olde Angel Inn where we were staying. We were impressed with the unique types of cheeses carried and the excellent service. Prices seemed a touch high, but then again this isn't Kraft or Cracker Barrel. Cheese Secrets also caters.

We have been here a few times now, and will always get some special cheese, plus the Goat Gouda. It melts in your mouth!

We have visited Cheese Secrets over the years and really loved the thoughtful service. The store is now in new hands. We ordered a cheese tray recently - I was absolutely stunned by the prices they charged - gouging is the only way to describe it. The service was also very unfriendly. Very disappointing.

Thank you for your review. Cheese Secrets is owned by Eugene Johnson, my husband, and me, Colleen Johnson. We have been the owners since April 1, 2009. I am very sorry to hear you feel this way about the service you received and the prices you were charged. We base our price on the cheeses you select by size and... More

Quaint little shop, with personable service, and great cheese! Selection was smaller than I expected, based on the menu on the website, but still had a great selection. Some jams, crackers, and meats to choose as well. Watch the hours - shop closes at 5 pm. If you're a cheese lover, a good stop to make.

Thank you for your kind remarks. Just an FYI, our shop hours are M TU W 10-5, TH 10-6, F 10-7, SA 10-6 and SU 11-5. Our local cheeses and delicacies are delivered fresh each week and our stock differs on a regular basis. Artisinal cheeses vary with the seasons, depending on milk supply. We decided not to go out for dinner, it was a great night for a picnic by the lake, so just after 5pm we walked in and asked for a take-out cheese plate, which comes with fruits and nuts, and we asked for some sliced meats. They had everything ready in less than 15 minutes. Plus we bought some crackers... More

We are cheese lovers and this small shop has a nice selection of some tasty cheeses. The gentleman/proprietor was so lovely and cheery...(just happy to be there) and so very helpful giving us tastes of this one and that one. Definitely worth a visit.

Great variety of local cheese! We were able to try samples of the different types of cheese and some of the jelly they had which was great! They also have local dried meats which was nice. Great place to try different cheese!

There's so many varieties of great cheeses here. We bought a platter to take to a wine tasting and also many cheeses to fill us up during the time we spent here. Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable. Wish we had this type of store here. Must see!

We happened past this place as we were wandering in Niagara on the Lake. It is back off the main street and we just happened to park in front of it so we decided to wander in. The selection was wonderful and they were happy to give samples of all their products ... which certainly helped increase what I bought... More
