I first discovered Strewn as a small winery with small-batch vintages and rieslings done just how I loved them (2 decades ago), now they've changed their wine-making style. I was so devoted that I was the one who asked TA to list this winery and wrote the first review. I have been a fan of their off-dry whites and vidal... More

This is the place for connoisseurs of wine and food. It is a medium size operation not large as the mass market players but large enough to guarantee a professional experience. The sommelier who took us through the tasting was very good. The food was outstanding. Will return.

Recently we visited Strewn Winery with our friends to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary. We started with a wine tasting where we sampled a variety of Strewn white and red wines, which led to the purchase of one of each. Before lunch, we were able to sample a number of olive oils as well as balsamic vinegars, which led... More

We came late in the afternoon so there were no tours available. We tried the wine tasting. There was a "moth ball" odor in the tasting room that detracted from the wine taste. We were told that it was there to eliminate fruit flies. The first wine I tried was sour, and none of the wines after that were pleasing... More

Good little winery that's not too crowded like some of the bigger wineries on NOTL. The building is pretty. We went for the free tour and tasting that they have at 11:30 am with Jane. Worth a visit just for that! The tour was interesting and ends with a structured tasting of 3 wines. From all the wineries I have... More

We did not eat at the winery and didn't attend the culinary school, so this review is limited to the wine tasting tour. It was not very informative. It wasn't really enjoyable either. The olive oil tasting area was actually better organised, but olive oil isn't what we were interested in. You might find other tasting tours more to your... More

This was not my favourite wine tasting location. The wines were very dry and not my taste, but the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend going to this winery for the OLIV restaurant that is on the same property.

This was our third tasting of the trip and one of our favourites! Kathryn led our tasting and did a great job. The Viognier ended up being our favourite wine of the whole trip! Definitely worth stopping in if you are in the area.

Strewn was our first stop on mine and my husbands self guided winery tour this past Sunday. We arrived right at 11:30 and jumped on the free afternoon tour. We were given a quick history and info on the wine making process. Once back inside our group was taken to a private room to taste 2 wines, a late harvest... More

New winemaker from New Zealand. Only a brief encounter with him but I sensed a real connection between him and his profession. Always one of my favourite wineries but, wow, this stuff is good. Viognier excellent---I never would have thought I'd enjoy this varietal to this extent. Often when I start drinking the wines I bring back from our annual... More
