We went early on a Saturday morning to have a tasting and the four of us really enjoyed our experience. A bus arrived shortly after us and we really liked that they had a separate room for the bus tour so it didn't impact our tasting at all. We ended up leaving with a number of bottles!

Wow. Great wine tasting experience. Our hosts Maria and Diane were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. It was so good we went 2 days in a row. Loved the wine and ice wine. Their customer service gave them customers for life. Thank you again

I liked the place as soon as we walked in. It was friendly and, to me, looked and felt laid back and comfortable. So we stopped for a glass of wine. Then we got into a conversation about their ice wines. Then we sampled a couple of them. Our server was quite enthusiastic about all the wines there but moreso about the ice wines. We stayed way longer than we expected and enjoyed it tremendously.

This was our first visit to Joseph's Estate....I guarantee it will be our last. The ambiance was similar to a country store than a winery.

There were only 2-3 other couples in the sales room, with two older women working behind the counter. However, neither of the staff seemed particularly interested in serving us or anyone else for that matter. They were more concerned with collecting the fee for the very limited tasting than actually providing customer service. Rather than discussing our preferences and helping us select a wine to try, our server plunked a photocopied list of wines down in front of us and walked away. When she returned over 5 minutes later, she only asked us which one we wanted...when we made a selection, we were curtly advised our choice was only available for restaurant sales, and did not offer any assistance in locating a wine available for tasting. We eventually selected three varietals, none of which were particularly memorable or enjoyable.

We were in the store for no more than 15 minutes, and would have left sooner if not for the slow, disinterested service from the staff.

My wife and I went to Niagara On the Lake to enjoy a beautiful spring day. we went
To Joseph's because we have enjoyed their wines in the past but no more!!

there is such a negative vibe in the place by the people serving you the wine I would never step foot in the building again - this Is the second time we have experienced this attitude. older
Staff who I guess did not like their jobs or people not sure why they had such a negative attitude.
my wife was treated terribly - the samples of wine were a joke !!

i have never written a negative review on tripadvisor but I think these people need to wake up and get with the times - they have a good product but the place only had a trickling of people in the building the unwelcoming atmosphere is probably the reason. a few young people with a plosives attitude would change the atmosphere. we experienced a completely different vibe in every other
Winery we visited yesterday. please get it together update your label while your changing to move into the times. There is so much competition out there and you could double your sales with a smile and positive attitude.

My husband and I went to their outlet bought bottle of ICE Wine has terrible taste had to throw it out

Also, they had some Wine tasting gathering with one free Macaroon ONLY for whom has obtained the booklet !!!!!!

My husband took one glass of the sample (by mistake,we did not know) suddenly the lady in charge said "OH NOOOOO, this sample is for people who already registered", we were shocked!!! I asked her how much is one bottle of it?she replied: "13$", that means for only 50 cents!!! of wine she panicked!!!

Unfortunately we already bought the Ice Wine

Sorry for them, Ive been in many winery, never seen such a behavior

Never go their do not recommend at all

Despite poor weather on the day of our visit to various wineries, this one was the most educational and outstanding one.
Long tables were simply laid out with wine glassess for tasting. It was important to have different glassess for different wines, which unfortunately, some other wineries did not consider it as a necessity.
Marlene was a good teacher and a good guide who explained wine tasting and some of their produce in a simple and interesting way. I felt I was back to school again, but without the fear of being punished if I got the answer wrong!! We were all very impressed by her presentation.
We also had a tour round the site of their wine production which was educational. This really helped you to be more appreciative next time when you have something delicious slipping down your throat.
Compared with other wineries we visted on the day (Totally 4), this one was small but memorable.

bad wine was topped with bad service. Joe at the bar rushed our tasting and we felt like we were bothering him.

Located on Niagara Stone Rd we have driven by this winery many times. Last weekend we finally stopped in and were glad we did. My girlfriend and I have similar tastes when it comes to wines and most of the time when we stop at a winery and have some tastings we end up buying a bottle. At Joseph's we ended up purchasing 3 different bottles of wine. Mostly due to the quality of the wines but also I would like to point out that the young gentleman serving us was very knowledgeable and helpful in directing us to wines he thought we might enjoy based on our conversation. A return visit in the future is likely more than just a possibility.

My boyfriend and I did our very first tasting at a winery (despite living in "wine country") and Joseph's set the bar high. Went during the off-season so it was very quiet which is probably a good thing since the boutique is rather cozy. The lady was very informative having shared with us her knowledge of different varietals, including some we're never tried before. Was not pushy and was able to read us well (we're not the sort to buy a $100 bottle of icewine). The wines were very affordable unlike some larger wineries and there was a good selection. I think we came home with 5 bottles between the two of us! Definitely looking to make a few more stops this season.
