About
Seneca Theatre was built in 1941 with a seating capacity for 911. It was originally owned by Famous Players theatre. The theatre hosted many events over the years, including the Canadian premiere of Marilyn Monroe’s film “Niagara” on January 28,1953. In 1984 Cineplex Odeon took it over and the theatre was twined into two cinema’s. Cinema 1, had 569 seats, Cinema 2, 211 seats for a total of 780 seats. A large, illuminated marquee was part of the original facade, the upper part of which still exhibits art deco styling. The interior was decorated throughout with native Seneca motifs such as birch bark-cast plaster walls, ceremonial masks and belt designs. The theatre is hoping to restore the masks and marquee in the not too distant future. The Seneca Queen Theatre today holds 307 comfortable seats, each with a perfect view of the stage, lots of leg room. We are fully licensed and offer both movies and live entertainment. We are also available for private rentals.

Awesome, affordable venue highlighting some great classic rock bands. There's not a bad seat in the house and the sound is great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Totally recommend checking it out!

The place is a little run down but the acoustics in the hall were great. Drinks were reasonably priced too.

GODDO, a historic night.
Nov 2018 • Couples
The Seneca Queen Theatre does it again. Goddo played their final concert here on Saturday night to a sold out house. Too bad because this is one of Canadas greatest rock bands. The band was as good as ever with so many great hits to play. This was a great privilege for the Seneca, and thank you Trevor for making this a very memorable night for all of us fans. I recommend this venue for all.

Attended Angela Seeger performance Streisand at the Seneca Queen Theater. What a delightful venue. Met Trevor Ritchie at the door who was very helpful and provided us with a background on this great Theater. The location is easy to get in and out of conveniently close to Niagara Falls Hotels. The concession stand was stocked with popcorn and all kinds of foods you find at any other Theater. Our seats were upfront but you couldn’t find a bad seat in this Theater. I recommend you check their website and see if you can attend a show as part of your vacation to Niagara Falls, Canada.

What a fantastic night.

Went to see The Box last night and had a great time. This venue is a hidden gem. Go early and have a drink and hotdog at this old theatre and get ready for a great, fun, time. The Box played and the crowd was into the band like the old days. This was my first time at this venue and will be back for sure. Parking was free and easy to find near the theatre and the acoustics were great also. Great place for live entertainment.

Great Concert venue
May 2018 • Family
This was our first excursion to this venue to see one of our favourite bands, and it did not disappoint!! The acoustics are great as well as lightning. It is big enough to accommodate a loud Celtic rock band but yet intimate enough for everyone to enjoy. The washrooms are clean and the lobby is very inviting. The old school concession stand is great and very cost friendly even the alcohol is reasonably priced. I highly recommend this venue for a great night out.

Thanks Darren it's always fun to watch the Mudmen. They are as fun off the stage as they are on the stage. They will be back again. Trevor

Slocan Ramblers
Apr 2018 • Friends
We attended a Friday Night performance at this venue for the Toronto Bluegrass Group the Slocan Ramblers. What a wonderful quaint venue. There does not appear to be a bad seat in the house. We were seated about in the middle and the acoustics were superb. It was our 1st time going to this venue but we are sure that we will attend future performances
