About
Seneca Theatre was built in 1941 with a seating capacity for 911. It was originally owned by Famous Players theatre. The theatre hosted many events over the years, including the Canadian premiere of Marilyn Monroe’s film “Niagara” on January 28,1953. In 1984 Cineplex Odeon took it over and the theatre was twined into two cinema’s. Cinema 1, had 569 seats, Cinema 2, 211 seats for a total of 780 seats. A large, illuminated marquee was part of the original facade, the upper part of which still exhibits art deco styling. The interior was decorated throughout with native Seneca motifs such as birch bark-cast plaster walls, ceremonial masks and belt designs. The theatre is hoping to restore the masks and marquee in the not too distant future. The Seneca Queen Theatre today holds 307 comfortable seats, each with a perfect view of the stage, lots of leg room. We are fully licensed and offer both movies and live entertainment. We are also available for private rentals.

it's great to have someone like Trevor keeping this theatre alive in the downtown core. Floyd Factor was another gem in this years lineup of groups. I'll definitely continue supporting this effort as often as possible..

Great atmosphere - the renovations and upgrades to the old Seneca Queen theatre are great. Such a classic place to enjoy some great cover bands, entertainment and drinks/treats.

The place is a little run down but the acoustics in the hall were great. Drinks were reasonably priced too.
A great place for a concert

My husband & I have seen several bands at the Seneca Queen theatre. As kids, we went to the Seneca to watch movies. Now, it's a great place to get a drink and listen to some good music. There is not a bad seat in the house. C'mon Niagara! Check it out and bring your friends. You're in for a treat!

This is a great venue to see a live performance. First time there on the weekend. Tickets are reasonably priced as well as the bar items. Would definitely go back here. Love the ambiance of an old movie theatre

Heard about the tribute bands of Foreigner and Journey being represented for a Saturday night and wondered what it was all about. Very surprised to see tickets available for a great price and was able to choose my seats. Venue has no bad seats and I chose second row and was up close and personal. Love both bands they were fantastic and sent me back to my youth and high school days. The band and I want to say both of them were really good and from the roar of the crowd they were appreciated by an almost full house of patrons. They offer all sorts of tribute bands and they try and match genres to compliment each other. Free parking , reasonably priced drinks ans super price for tickets................this is a fantastic way to get entertained! Hope to go again really soon!

In May, our daughter needed to see a live musical act for school - she was months late planning it so we had little to choose from. I found the Seneca Queen's line up online and we bought tickets to a Fifties musical revue. We had no expectations for the concert OR the venue but were greatly surprised to have a wonderful night out! The musical talent was top notch and even our teenaged daughter thought it was fantastic. The venue has been updated and has a relaxed friendly atmosphere. There are cold drinks available that aren't overpriced. The old theatre seating has a ton of leg room and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

So last night we went back and saw Glory Days, a Springsteen cover band. We had another great night out. Talented artists, great music, relaxed atmosphere, comfort and fun and it's an affordable night out with tickets having been under $20. We plan on coming back as often as we can.

Our main reason for visiting Niagara Falls, ON was to attend the performance of Johnny & the Gem Tones on May 14, 2016 at the Seneca Queen Theatre (as well as to see the Falls). It was an absolutely amazing show!! The theatre itself has very comfortable seats with lots of leg room and everyone has an excellent view of the stage as the seats are on different levels. The sound system is excellent and the price for this show was very reasonable.
