We are NOT big gamblers but, just wanna have a little enjoyment as we lose some cash. Not that night. .everything sucked up in no time in a very depressing atmosphere.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 4, 2023
- DanielMonticello, Illinois33 contributionsGood timesOur hotel was close to Casino Niagara so we gave it a shot. We ended up returning a few more times because we had a really enjoyable time. I didn’t play in the poker room but it looked nice. There were a number of slots and a pretty nice sports book. Compared to the Fallsview casino I actually liked casino Niagara more. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten July 27, 2023
- Brian PMorgantown, West Virginia93 contributionsDisappointingMy partner and I will often drop in at casinos when visiting new cities. The people-watching tends to be interesting, so we'll get a free play card and spend maybe $20 of our own. I found Casino Niagara disappointing compared to other casinos I've been to in the US. Not a really interesting environment, and pretty much all we saw (except for high rollers area) was penny slots and a couple table games. We used up our free play and a bit of extra money and then headed out after a little while.Thank you for visiting Casino Niagara. Your feedback is important to us. We’re sorry to hear that your recent visit did not meet your expectations. We have recently introduced new dealer dealt electronic table games including Roulette, Blackjack in addition to the 30 action-packed tables at Casino Niagara including Blackjack, Mississippi Stud, Roulette and Poker to name a few. There are also non dealer assisted electronic games available including Roulette, Sic Bo and Big-Six. We also have exciting new weekly promotions at the casino and LEV2L – our sports bar has over 50 HD plasma screens keeping you in the action for all the edge-of-your-seat games with wide variety of menu favourites. Our new recliner seating area offers some of the most comfortable viewing of your favourite sports - we have added these and many new and & exciting things to the casino. In my opinion, Fallsview Casino is a better casino than Casino Niagara except, if you have kids, Casino Niagara is close to Clifton Hill which has more family entertainment. Fallsview Casino is on one level & Casino Niagara is multi-level. Parking is available at both casinos. There's also a shuttle between casinos but it starts at 5:00 pm. Fallsview Casino has shopping & many restaurants & a food court. It is connected by a covered walkway to Sheraton 4 Points & the Hilton hotels where you find many more eating options. Safeway buses arrive & depart from Fallsview Casino only. Fallsview Casino is on a hill overlooking the majestic Canadian Falls.& offers a stunning view.

Mohegan Casino Niagara doesn't come close to the payout %'s on penny slots that Seneca Niagara does. That's why the border crossing closure stings so much. Have given both Casino Niagara and Fallsview run by Mohegan a few tries now. Aveg bet is $1.50 Bonus play is rare and when you do get a bonus 9 times out of 10 is barely higher than the bet itself. A hundred dollars lasts a half hour. That's not a sustainable business model. Patros like ourselves will not be back. We will wait for the border to reopen, save our gaming budget for Seneca Niagara. Niagara and Fallsview look fine but lack that Vegas feel. No food comps. No free play offers. Poor payout %'s. No reason to go back. It took 3 visits just to get free parking. sheesh!!

Visited recently and typically come 2-3 times per year. Really like this place. It seems smaller than Fallsview and less touristy. Like that you can walk up to bar and get a beer without waiting in a 10 person lineup. The clientele also suits us.
Service is almost always good. It’s clean.
Next trip in the summer we plan to stay nearby instead of the Fallsview area.

We actually preferred this casino over the others on Niagara. It was very spacious and lots of modern games such as Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (which we love).
I won as many bonuses etc as I ordinarily would. The only issue was if you won, you couldn’t claim the money! The cash dispensing machines didn’t work and the queue for the cashier went from desk to the other side of the casino. It was at least an hours wait to get any of your money! It’s for that reason that I have to award the casino the award for ‘worst casino ever’!!!

Went to the casino while in NF for the weekend. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Was busy but not over crowded. Good band playing downstairs. Majority of dealers kept the gamblers into it. All outside drifters were removed politely and quietly. No scenes

This was our second Casino stop while in Niagara....The first one at Fallsview was pretty much negative. It seems the Mohegan group is not too popular with all the changes they have made. This Casino is smaller but we actually liked it better for whatever reason? It was just as tight but seemed more relaxed albeit we only visited here once and Fallsview 3 times as it was a little closer walking distance. We enjoyed our brief stay here and had a few drinks while gaming. Service was friendly but the slots are tight! lol.

One of the worst Casino experiences my wife & I have had. Besides the machines being extremely tight, 70-75% of them wouldn't take bills, only tickets. I never saw a slot tech in the 14 hours we spent in there over 3 days. You have to try to decipher the bets you're making because most of the machines have no information on the betting buttons. Also, they are way under-staffed. In the 3 days we were there, we saw 1 waitress.

This has to be the worst food any where. Cold, over done just horrible. 29.00 per meal is a real big ripoff. I had sweet and sour pork. It was just crispy batter with sauce on it .... no pork at all. . food cold like the carved beef. Gravy cold. Bread stale. Only good thing I ate was one small dessert. Don’t eat here.....too much money for a huge disappointment. Eat somewhere else.

We have a two day visit, our first, to NF and will be staying near to the Casino Niagra.
I intend to use the casino both nights of our stay, so my question is . . . Do I need to remove the car overnight from your car park?

Yes, exciting things are happening at Casino Niagara, with a total of $7 million is being invested into the property this year! The second level is temporarily closed while the renovations are taking place, and will reopen fall of 2017 with exciting new gaming, entertainment and dining options.
Going to visit the casino in early October. Will the sports book be open by then? Any idea when the renovations will be completed? Thanks!

Do you need to use Canadian dollars or can you use US dollars?
wrossi
Macedon, NY105 contributions
You need to exchange your US dollars at the Cashier Cage within the casino as the machines will only accept Canadian money. I have always found the exchange rate to be acceptable so it is not necessary to purchase Canadian currency before you arrive. Remember to cash your Canadian back to US before you leave the casino because you will receive less selling it back to your US bank. While in Canada use your credit card for all POS (merchants) transactions and your credit card company will automatically do the exchange for you at the best rate. Preferably a card that has no foreign transaction fees😊Good luck!

No, as of May 31st, 2006 Casino Niagara became a smoke-free property per Ontario Government legislation, however, designated outdoor smoking areas are available for patrons who wish to smoke.
