- eVe 🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬Singapore, Singapore1,492 contributionsA huge Amusement Park in the OpenClifton Hill is walkable from Fallsview Boulevard for 30 minutes. Alternatively, take WEGO green or red lines. We were in for a surprise as we thought it is a small place. There were many shops, restaurants and hotels there. Hard Rock restaurant and shop are there too. Good for family with kids as they will enjoy the various rides and kid's attractions.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 16, 2023
- EFW2014Woolwich, Maine1,524 contributionsBright lightsIt’s the Myrtle beach of the great north! The whole place is a money grab!! Lots to see and do! $20 for all day parking at most lots. Be careful with the $5 lots, that’s per hour and looks sketchy at night.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 28, 2023
- CrisslyRoseDominican Republic90 contributionsStreet shop and entertainmentHere there’s a few places that you can get entertainment. There’s breweries, shops, game centers and others. It pretty good. At night it seems gorgeous with the lights. Theres some food shops and souvenirs. It is a must. Just you have to walk some meters from Niagara view.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 15, 2024
- BackfromVacayToronto, Canada188 contributionsGood evening for a windy strollWe could see from our hotel window that the Hill was not busy. So we ventured out. Slight winds. But manageable. We went up slowly. Dodging several cars turning into the driveways and stopping abruptly to allow passengers to disembark. Still a very active location so late into the night.Visited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 10, 2024
- Jeanne F1 contributionKinda if tackyPretty crowded in May, can't imagine the summer months. This is a place to take kids on amusements park rides etc. There are restaurants, t- shirts/souvenir stores, bars and lots of other sight seeing touristy things.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 26, 2024

Would be a great spot for families, it’s been cleaned up since I went as a kid for sure.
However, we are in the middle of a pandemic. It’s great to see things reopening, but it was completely out of control. There were huge crowds of people everywhere, no guidelines for walking and staying separated, nobody wearing masks, indoor businesses were open with no guidelines for how many people should be in them, rides attractions and seating areas weren’t being cleaned properly if at all... ect.
The city of Niagara should be ashamed of how poorly things are being handled there with reopening and the tourists should be of their actions. I haven’t been too stressed about covid since the pandemic began, but we were so uncomfortable walking around here that we left and went back to the hotel without checking out much of the area.

I bought Clifton Hill fun passes online before my trip. When I went to collect my passes from the booth, I was informed that they had already been used. When the staff looked into it, the passes were redeemed about 5 minutes after my purchase. Booth staff shrugged their shoulders and said to call the office the following day - we were there after business hours.
When I called the office, I was told that this happens often, and to take it up with my credit card, and there was nothing they (Clifton Hill) would do for me.
If this is a frequent occurrence, maybe Clifton Hill needs to look into this a little more. All my documents say that both the credit card used for the purchase as well as photo identification is needed to claim the tickets. I was asked for that - before they told me the tickets were already used.

Unrealized potential. There is a great opportunity to do something great; however, the overwhelming feeling is that is all disjointed. There is not one recognizable theme. The Zombie Attack ride is a clear example of unrealized potential; the ride in itself is pretty good. But does not provide a fully immersive experience, there some scarce monitors while waiting (no animatronics) or sound effects; what about having a shop with Zombie paraphernalia after the ride? Items from the Walking Dead, Zombieland, etc... As I mentioned, unrealized potential. Throughout the street, there are too many arcades, competing passes (you see some Fun Pass, some other with Adventure Pass, etc..) full of 2nd class gift-shops, restaurants that do not add variety make the experience poor and unremarkable. Whoever manages the Clifton Hill area should go and learn a few lessons in Florida. See how theming is done right. Add cohesion, value and make it simple to the eye, the tourist's pocket. As it stands right now, Clifton Hill is just a tourist trap, a simple cash grab. Not adding anything of valuable fun.

Visited Niagara Falls twice during Covid once in late summer and then again in the fall. Felt very safe throughout the area. The town of the attractions all did a great job of socially distancing, taking temperature and required masks.
If you want a safe get away from the madness of current times this is the place to go. Everything is open air everything is socially distance and everyone is wearing mask.

I transited Clifton Hills a couple of times as it was one route from my hotel to the river and the falls. My main impression was essentially a carnival midway in the middle of the city. There are a large number of fast-food places, attractions and shops and it is at the far end of touristy-kitsch.
While I'm normally amused by touristy-kitsch, I found the dense crowds, huge queues and noise very wearing. Again, if this is your thing, I think you'll enjoy it.
I, on the other hand, quickly found alternate routes to the falls that were much more peaceful and walkable and much less likely than being continually buffeted by other people.

I love the absolute cheesiness of this place. There are some great restaurants and such along here but also tons of attractions. Yeah some are a bit pricey and you could spend a fortune but even just walking along this street is fun and gets you in that carnival spirit.

Got Fun Passes for everyone (adult $20 and kid $11). Great ride on Skywheel at night. Wizard's golf is indoor but still great. We did dino golfs for too many times before and kids want to try something new. Zombies Attack was a bit out-dated, but worths a try. We parked at Clifton Hill Parking Lot which is right next to dino golf and it was only $5/day!! Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the sign. Street meter parking is $3.5/hr!!!

After wandering through the boulevard we decided to take a look at this place. There is a lot of entertainment here for all ages. Many restaurants, bars, and shops. We brought home wonderful pieces of art from some of the many unique shops found at this place. It can get crowded during peak season but that has to be expected since it's located next to the falls which are visited by millions of people every year.

Clifton Hill was a lot of fun. We saw dinosaurs at a golf course, had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, rode the Niagara SkyWheel, and walked around. We also met very friendly people there. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend visiting Clifton Hill.

Very nice place, so much to do , lots of activities, remember its also a tourist trap so most things don't come cheap .
Try to buy packages before you do certain activities, lots of packages available online or even on site, was very worth it we saved a bunch by purchasing them in advance.
Restaurants aren't cheap also, don't think it will be the same prices as back home, there's a premium here on every item, but so much to choose from also.
Go early , less people in the morning , at nights it gets crazy specially on weekends craziness!
Hope this was helpful
regards

Looking to get a picture of us going down the falls in a barrel. I remember a booth on the strip. Is it still there?

Hi. If we walk over from the US side how far is it to the Clifton Hill attractions like the Skywheel? Do you have taxis or uber?
Written August 11, 2019
Hi! There are many ways to visit from the US. There are UBER services as well as taxis and public transportation. Walking from the bridge is just a short distance away on foot.
Have a wonderful time!

If you’re on Canadian side, they you can explore the Canadian side. If you want to explore the American side, then you have to cross the border first.
Clifton Hill is on Canadian side only.
If you wanted to ask whether or not you can view falls from the American side, then my response is as follows.
You can definitely see the falls from American side but cross the border for that. By crossing the border, you should comply to their immigration norms. You just can’t walk over to the american side.

Yes there is a place to mini golf (putt-putt golf) at Glifton HIll. :)

We are staying near Clifton Hill. Should we book a tour or go on our own. Not doing the rides.
Written May 29, 2019
I think it really depends if you want a structured vs an unstructured day of exploring. The tour was great albeit a bit longer than I needed. The guide was knowledgeable, took us to many different sites, factored in time for photo opportunities along the way and most importantly we were transported each step of the way. If want to go at your own pace and don’t mind driving from place to place, then I would say go on your own.

Bonjour
Je veux savoir si à quelque part à Niagara il y a un centre ville illuminé comme un mini Las Vegas avec des personnages costumés ou des super héros qui se promènent dans les rues?
Merci beaucoup

Sorry but I cant understand french, maybe you understand english. Regarding to your question, I only saw a small park with attractions but no people disguised on the street. Good luck and your city is really wonderful

We will be in NF on the 15th of Sep. Our plan is to do the journey behind the falls in the morning and then come to Clifton Hills...however, two of our party (the credit card holder being one of them) need to leave to catch a train home later in the afternoon. When you pick up tickets, do you get all the tickets at one time in a packet, or does the credit card holder need to be present to pick up tickets at each attraction?
Written August 9, 2018
If you are referring to the Clifton Hill Fun Pass, if you are purchasing the cards online, the credit card holder must be the same person that picks them up on the initial claiming of the passes. After that, once you get your passes the credit card holder doesn't need to be present.
