This lively street is a great way to start or end your visit to Niagara Falls. The street has a good variety of restaurants and entertainment, something on offer for everyone!

We did the Frankenstein haunted house and it was very scary (said in a scary voice). We also did the sky wheel and went through some of the shops.

We came during the winter time but everything looked really fun. There were a lot of attractions. I really wanted to do the go kart track but they were closed in the winter time... makes sense though lol.

Overpriced and tacky. Why spoil something so naturally beautiful (the Falls) with a street so tacky it makes you want to weep. C’mon Canada, you can do better!

Originally saw Clifton Hill at night and was attracted by the beautiful lights. Went back the next day and wandered down what felt like an outdoor funhouse. It was strange, but there was lots to do.

It reminded me of Wildwood in NJ the boardwalk feel with a far better backdrop (Niagra Falls). Stores and attractions were decently priced (few more then others) and tons of things to do. Go with a package for rides / attractions at $30 a head...More

Its an awesome area to bring the kids especially. Our kids are all adults but that's when grandchildren come in. The great thing is that they have packages you can buy to save money.

If you are referring to the Clifton Hill Fun Pass, if you are purchasing the cards online, the credit card holder must be the same person that picks them up on the initial claiming of the passes. After that, once you get... More

Walking distances from Doubletree (10 Replies)
We're visiting this June with 3 children (12, 12 and 13) and are thinking the Doubletree Hotel might be a good half-way point between the attractions? I think the kids will enjoy the Clifton Hill area(tourist traps are right up their alley!) but we'd like to be able to walk to the Horseshoe Falls area too. Any advice on location is very much welcome! Thank you!!

The doubletree is about a 15 minute walk to clifton hill and 15 minutes in the other direction to the horseshoe falls. There is plenty to see and do on both walks. Doubletree is a beautiful hotel but beware the falls view rooms are not as good as the other bigger hotels as the hotel is located further back from the falls.

Hi everyone: I just returned from a 2 night visit to Niagara Falls, with my husband and my 11 year old son. We stayed at the Travelodge at Clifton Hills. We arrived in the evening and ate at the Spicy Olive, and did the Ferris Wheel which was fun. We called the Clifton Hill area the zoo, as it's very noisy and pretty wild looking. No shortage of visual and auditory stimulation in that small area. The next morning at 8 a.m. I walked to the Maid of the Mist Welcome center to purchase...More

Hi there. By the sounds of things you had a pretty nice time at the Falls. It sounds like you planned things out to perfection and got to see and do quite a bit over your stay. Well done.
How to get around (3 Replies)
We are going to Niagara Falls this weekend staying at the Sheraton Fallsview. How far are we from Clifton Hill area and getting to the falls? I noticed the People Mover has stopped for the winter so what is the best way to get around and is there a central parking area that is kinda close to everything? Thanks in advance.

You can walk everywhere. Bundle up- it's cold down by the falls to begin with and theweathernetwork.com is showing highs of 5 and 6 this weekend.
