We really enjoyed this place. Watch for sign for entrance, we missed the entrance and had to turn around, but were in good company with that mistake! Beautiful butterflies fly freely, some as big as small birds, which some people did not like from our...More

The Butterfly Conservatory is part of the Wonder Pass and a must do while in Niagara Falls. Hop on the Green line WEGO and head north for a simple trip to a fun and educational stop. During the cold weather don't hesitate to utilize the...More

I was a bit surprised by how crowded this place was but it wasn't long before the magic of thousands of fragile flapping wings distracted from that minor fact. The interior landscaping was gorgeous with varying levels, beautiful foliage, and butterflies fluttering about in a...More

We only visited the butterfly exhibit as it was included in the Welcome pass. The venue is easy to get to via the Wego bus and is well laid out. There is an interesting information film at the beginning and the staff were all welcoming...More

Lots of different kinds of butterflies. You have to be careful walking or you may step on a butterfly. It is a small attraction. I bought a discovery pass and I was annoyed that they couldn't scan it..I was still allowed in.

The butterfly conservatory was interesting but we would think that more information would be better for visitors to understand in-depth on the works involved behind the scenes to keep this beautiful conservatory. We visited this place as the boat cruise was not available in the...More

This activity doesn't take long to do - you can be in an out within an hour. You get to watch a short film about butterflies and it was very informative too. Once done, you get to walk into the conservatory to be with the...More

You may use the Wego bus system or taxi. When we went, the timing of the bus route didn't coincide with our schedule so we opted for a taxi to take us straight there from our hotel. We made arrangements with the same taxi... More

Butterflies conservatories - which is best ? (3 Replies)
Has anyone been to both the 'Wings of Paradise' butterfly conservatory near Cambridge Ontario and the 'Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory' at Niagara ? If so which is better ? If they are both fantastic then we're happy to see both but if one is a clear winner we'll just do that one. Thanks Jane

I have been to both, Jane and the Niagara conservatory is better by far. If you like to take photographs, this is the place for you! There is also much more to do in the Niagara region. Regards, Rick
One month trip to Toronto (10 Replies)
We (me and my wife) have plan to visit Toronto in May for a month. Instead of superficially skimming the great city of Toronto, we intend to spend a month there to explore the city as much as possible. I have infact made an itinerary for a month but not sure whether it is practical or not particularly when I am not familier with the public transport system and have planned to use public transport. Hence, below the itinerary, which I have designed, you are kindly requested to take some of your...More

Alamgir, here are some general observations and questions about your proposed itinerary. 1. Where will you be staying? In a hotel in the central downtown area of Toronto? Or somewhere on the outskirts of the city? This is crucial information, since it would help people on this forum give you the best advice about how to reach attractions by public transit. Moreover, your hotel may be within easy walking distance of a number of attractions. Do you like to do a lot of walking during your...More
