As a couple we enjoyed the zany driver Joe and all the information he had to offer.

Touring the family run Wineries who do not have a fair chance to compete with the big guys was refreshing.

We did not prefer the wine at one specific venue, nor did we particularly like some hosts.

All in all for $45 each we received way more fun and experiences than we paid for.

If you want a private coach/tour because you are too good to ride on a school bus (known before we got there), this tour isn’t for you. If you are open to new experiences and can ride with the rest of us peasants, sign up and come for the experience, it was a good time!

We had a great day with Joe from Niagra Fun tours. We really enjoyed the wineries and brewery we visited! The brewery meal was great, I’d suggest two people could split one of their sandwiches. The beer experience was different than a winery and really enjoyed the experience. Overall the tour was great value for money!

We booked this through groupon, which was an easy process.
The tour was fab, we were collected from the stop as advised by the company. Our driver was Joey, great guy with a great sense of humour!
We visited 4 different establishments; Vieni, Flat Rock, Puddicombe & Forty Creek. All very different with unique attributes at each.
Would defo recommend if you’re staying in the area!

We had an amazing day for my sister's Bachelorette. So much fun, so many new memories! Konzelmann Winery was by far our favourite! But the service provided by our tour guide Joe was outstanding! Who knew there was so much we didn't know about wine!! Would definitely recommend!

March 16 Saturdays wine tour! Very rude and requested no talking on the bus. I couldn't believe the attitude. After showing up 45 mins late to pick us up he continues to yell at us to hurry up and get on the bus. Didn't even come into the lobby to call us out. I have been doing wine tours for many years and always with your company. I have never had any issues, drivers were always super pleasant and courteous. He is not a people person and was very rude. We are a group pf people going out to enjoy some wine, we do talk amounts our crowd, there was no reason for him to complain that we were all talking among each other. We as tourists go to enjoy some wine and talk to friends, We don't expect to be on a bus that is like a boot camp. He wouldn't allow chewing gum or any drinks. Pretty sad, miserable old man. He should not be doing this dealing with people and wine and not expect people to talk to friends on the bus. NOT a people person. Grumpy old man who seems very disorganized .

On Saturday June 25th, we took my husband on this tour as a Birthday gift, and we were left feeling incredibly disappointed! Our so called personable, professional tour guide Tyler was completely unprofessional. He started out first thing stating he had a non-contagious form of tonsilitis , and that he would not be speaking much as it was painful. Tyler then went on to state that we may not want to sit at the back 5 seats of the bus as the A/C and compressor were not working and it will be too hot and the worst place in the bus to be. Tyler also stated that if we needed boxes for our wine, to ask the wineries, i believe it stated on the website that boxes would be provided.

First stop was Legends Winery we were in and out in about a half hour and proceeded to wait until Tyler returned with the bus about 15 minutes later, once we left there he said we would head to Magnotta winery, which would probably make us late for Forty Creek, but don't worry just tell them it was heavy traffic or an accident and that Forty Creek will probably not be happy with him, but oh well !. We did not go to the Magnotta winery described on your Distillery Tour Website, it was the Magnotta Wine Store ! Once we were loading the bus from the Magnotta store, a gentleman on the tour asked where we were going next?....... Tyler said " i don't know" and turned around to look at his phone ! the entire trip Tyler proceeded to play HIS music from his phone and sing along by himself like he was in an "airband".

Once we arrived at Forty-creek for the production tour/tasting and shopping, which according to your website description is a 90 minute stop including a tour of the production etc, he reminded us to say traffic caused us to be late. There was NOT a tour of production AT ALL ! we were ushered into a room, whereby although knowledgable the lady ran through the history, and escorted us to the store to taste the whisky varieties and shop. We were there, maybe 40 minutes , most of that time in the store!! The whole point of us bringing my husband on this tour was for the Forty-Creek Tour of the Distillery.

We then headed to Crabby Joes for lunch, whereby tyler handed out abbreviated menus that stated circle your choices, not sure why, as in the restaurant we were allowed to order anything from the menu. A few of the other people on the tour were left shaking there heads at Tyler bizarre behavior as well , stating they were thinking of leaving the tour and getting a cab back to their vehicles. Several others at lunch stated that "Thank god they got this tour for half price through Groupon" because they would never pay full price for this experience! Sadly we stated to the others on the tour, we HAD paid full price ! Once lunch was done, Tyler said we are heading to Vieni winery, my friend was answering a question from another person on the tour when Tyler barked at her and said "can you be quiet", my friend shocked, then said "are you scolding me"? Tyler proceeded to tell her that she was RUDE when he was trying to speak, really ? really? he was completely out of line and unprofessional as out of the 34 people on this tour, half of them were speaking to one another. He then proceeded to mention he was tired.

We went to Vieni Winery, the best stop of the tour, no thanks to our driver. When we boarded the bus, Tyler had left a hand written note on my friends seat, which i have attached for you. Tyler proceeds to play his heavy music and sing and dance while driving !! I guess the FUN in Niagara Fun Tours is for Tyler alone. We went to Flat Rock Winery as our last stop. Once we loaded the bus to finish the tour, Tyler said if any of the groups can guess his age, they will get a bottle of wine, and hopefully no one guessed he was over 40 ? Clearly offending 3/4 of the people on this tour, and that we were headed back to the drop offs etc. I have to say that when he stated he was 27, i was shocked as well as numerous others on the tour, especially considering his "oh well whatever" attitude and behaviour. The topic of children was mentioned by one of the ladies on the tour and tyler proceeded to say he has already lost 2 children and that he is not allowed to have any more !! WHAT?? really? is this appropriate ? Through the many conversations he had with HIMSELF while driving he mentioned Divorce, that he was depressed because he could not stop and have a peanut butter ice cream ? This was incredibly unsettling to say the least.

It is safe to say that we did not have FUN on this tour ! We have been on Wine tours before in the area and this was shockingly bad to say the least. We will never take another tour through Niagara Fun Tours !! The biggest shame of this , aside from Tylers' poor behaviour , lack of working A/C on the bus (as tyler stated his boss got the good bus, this one was going in for service on monday) and that we had wasted $300 , was that the we did not see Magnotta Winery and that we did not participate in a tour of the Forty-Creek Distillery ! I felt it was imperative to write this email/review to you as Tyler should not have been directing this tour. I understand that people have issues in their life, however we have paid full price for a Distillery and Wine tour, and it is not our problem that he is tired, in pain, and clearly not focused. Perhaps Tyler should have not come into work if he was that bad !

We booked a Winter Wine tour with Niagara Bus Tours for Saturday Jan 26th with 6 other people (8 in total). It's a good thing we got it on Dealfind for half price because the day wasn't worth what we paid for it only due to the Tour Operator we had. Our tour operator started the day saying his name was Mike or Mikey. We then stopped for a long time at the Niagara Gateway (we were picked up at the Casino) and he said we were changing drivers. We were all happy as he talked way too much. Unfortunately, he then came back on to our bus with a bowling shirt with the name Joe on it. I won't go on forever, but I just want to warn you that with Joe as your operator you are not allowed to talk on the bus, he treats you like kindergarten students. He actually "shhh'd" people so many times that he pulled the bus over in the middle of nowhere and told people to get off. Maybe if he would stop talking for a moment, friends who went on the tour together could actually speak to each other. Joe also stole candy from the chocolate factory by shoving it in his pockets from the tasting booths when he thought no one was looking. He also didn't remind anyone to get their cases of wine from the storage bin underneath the bus at the end of the tour ... wonder if he reports those? Anyway, on a positive note, I would give Palatine Hills Estate Winery an A+ and would recommend going there. I never would have found that gem without this tour. Just stay away from Mikey/Joe whatever his name is.

We took Niagara Fun Tours as a wine/chocolate tour around Niagara on the Lake. First off, they were on time at the pick us up. No waiting and Joe our driver was very informative. So it wasn't just being driven to wineries, it was information about the area along the way.

Joe was great and we had a lady on board who had a guide dog. There was no hassel and everyone was accomodating.

The tour was informative, interesting and fun. We visited 4 wineries and a chocolate factory (try the chocolate covered pretzels and expresso beans). We had a great day and I would definately go on other tours that the company has to offer if this was any indication of how they run their opertiona. Very professional.

If taking this tour there are some snacks on board the bus that you can purchase as well as water....although we did take some cheese and crackers with us on the bus to enjoy between wineries.

We boarded the bus at 10:15 but didn't leave the parking lot until 10:30. The smell of the diesel was overwhelming. Before we got 2 minutes into our drive, the bus driver's (Joe) phone rang and he proceeded to answer it (it is illegal to talk on your hand held devices while driving in Ontario). Then it rang again and he was about to answer it when I asked him not to. He answered it anyway. After he hung up, he began his rant to me about not wanting to have a back seat driver in the front of the bus. "Go sit at the back if you want to be a back seat driver". As we pulled into Fallsview Casino to pick up more passengers, he told us we could get off the bus here - "the taxi's are at the front" he said. After the passengers boarded, he had a change of heart and decided to take us back to our point of origin (not even giving us the chance to get off). As we were returning, his phone rang AGAIN and instead of answering it while driving, he abruptly pulled the bus over. Needless to say, we were happy to get off this bus and after reading some of these reviews, we didn't miss much. I found it hard to believe that no one else on the bus had issue with the lack of professionalism he showed.

The tour was supposed to be a brewery and winery tour. There was no tour, only tastings. Two of the breweries we went to gave us the same beer at each brewery and they were both awful. We went to three wineries which were okay but really the wine was pretty bad. The samples were very small which I suppose is a good thing considering the taste was so bad. We had lunch at Kurtz's which we good but the people who worked there were very grumpy and not happy to see us at all. The peanut shop was just a joke.
The driver was just plain awful. He was attempting to play trivia while driving. He was very immature and socially awkard. His driving was awful, his manners and knowledge of the area were awful. The trivia question to win a bottle of wine was to guess how old he was.
I had attempted to call a taxi to pick us up but since we were so far from Niagara Falls we thought we would just wait it out. By the end of the day we were so tired from the hot bus (little if no air conditioning), erratic driving (take a dramamine if you are still considering going) and crabby atmosphere.
I couldn't wait to get home to read the reviews since our driver had referenced several negative reviews on Tripadvisor. For the most part I agree with most of the negative reviews. I find it very hard to believe that anyone would have something good to say after going on this tour. I have been on >20 different city tours throughout the world and several brewery and wine tours. This was just unbelievable. At one point I actually thought we were being 'punked'.
