I took my family to Hershey Pennsylvania in June 2021. The day after visiting Hersheypark I took them to chocolate world. This was a much better experience than Hershey world. I am not sure what the experience would be if you were to purchase tickets on site but I purchased and scheduled everything online prior and this was a good idea and I highly recommend you do so as the day was pretty well timed out.
Me and the family thought they did a great job of all the different events offered including the 40, unwrapped, trolley tour, and make your own chocolate bar. They were all a bit cheesy but fun nonetheless. I would have to say that the best was the make your own chocolate as this was very fun for the kids to create their own and see how chocolate bars are actually made.
I would also suggest you purchasing the meal plan as well as there are multiple options including pizza, sub sandwich, stuffed baked potato, pork mac & cheese and you can even get a Freezy with your meal which are normally five dollars by themselves.
The items for sale aren't crazily overpriced as you would expect. For example a king size Reeses is only about $.25-$.50 more than you would pay at a gas station. They also offer quite a bit of deals if you buy 4, 5 or whatever.
Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. The area was very clean and everyone was wearing their masks (employees). This is a must if you're visiting Hershey and I would recommend getting all the items for the tours online ahead of time including the meal.

I saw a lot of people on the street drinking a Hersey chocolate milkshake which looked really good to try being a hot day outside. When walking into the shop there is a lot of merch you can purchase like mugs, clothes, and chocolate. They also have different brands of chocolate merch like Reese’s and others. They also have different sweets and cupcakes. I only bought the Hersey chocolate milkshake, it is a little pricey but the size they give you is huge. I couldn’t even finish mine but it tasted very good.

Very disappointed with the condition of the shop, it was very untidy, there was water all over the floor which made it very unsafe to walk around, it was dark and not very inviting. As it was October perhaps it was the end of the season in the area. I would take another look if we are in Niagara Falls again in a different season.

The ticket process here is confusing. There are 4 different paid activities and a variety of different combo bundles available. If you plan to do all the activities it's best to choose adventure 1 which includes all 4 ( create your own candy bar, the trolley ride, the 4 D movie and the unwrapped show.)
Unfortunately the ticket for each activity is for a specific time like a movie ticket so it's tricky buying multiple tickets online because the online portal kept splitting our family into different time slots for the kids and adults. We were forced to wait and buy the tickets in person at the counter for an extra $4 fee per person and they had to manually make adjustments so all of us could be in the same shows.
It was difficult to get a good idea of what the 4D movie and unwrapped show would be about in advance but we assumed they would be kid friendly events. Unfortunately they are not suitable for all ages. The younger children were terrified of all the smoke, flashing lights and very loud sound effects in the unwrapped show and I saw several other younger children crying. My younger kids were begging to leave before it was over. The 4D movie also has effects that can be pretty scary for kids 5 and under. My 4 year old covered his eyes and couldn't watch most of it
The trolley ride is really long and can become a bit boring for younger ones. The trolley is better suited for older people as it's a long winded history of Hershey park and the town.
The only universally liked activity was the create your own candy bar and even that was a bit of a let down. It is super crowded with a long line and there is no social distancing or masks required. Everyone gets a hair net and apron so my children were excited thinking they would get a chance to really make something, but that's not the case. All you get to do is go from one tablet screen to another choosing from very limited base and topping options to create your candy bar and then you get to separately design the wrapper on another tablet. The best part is watching your candy bar being made behind the glass screen but there is literally no point to the apron and hair net since everything is behind a glass enclosure. Overall for 4 people it cost $200 for tickets. The food is very expensive a pretzel costs $15 and same with all the items from the gift shop. It took a really long time to get through the activities. The children enjoyed some of the activities but it didn't seem worth the money and time especially if you are coming from out of town.

People have been telling me for years how awesome it is to go to Hershey park and go to the Hershey factory. This was such a waste of time! Fortunately, it was free and didn’t cost anything to go in. But it’s a huge warehouse sized building peddling overpriced chocolate that you find in any supermarket but 2.5 times the price. The “favorite tour” is a simulated and digital explanation of how Hershey’s chocolate is made. It was a 10 minute “ride.” That’s it. They have a theme park that was under maintenance and other stuff for kids. It was super lame! Don’t waste your time.

Today i visited the store, by the way not a big wow. All products are ridiculous overpriced but just to give my kids something to taste i bought 5 milkshakes. In usd the cost is $5.25
At the moment to pay the clerk told me the store accepts usd but the change should be un cad. Finally the final price was over $35 bucks. After questioning the clerk, she explain me Hersheys accepts USD but they apply 17.5% for currency change a little detail they don't specify at the moment you pay. Something really stupid considering the high prices on ALL.products in the store. If you are planning to visit the store, consider paying with credit card or CAD currency. Anyway its better option to purchase any Hershey's product at your local grocery store and bring it with you. A simple $1 chocolate will cost almost $4 there. Dont waste your money as we did. Dont even worth it.

A visit to Hershey's Chocolate World in Niagara Falls should be considered a must for all tourists. A great little store. However, they could do so much more with the place. It's time to get a new location and build a facility equal or better to their store in Las Vegas

Great experience we took a 75 min trolley ride. It was so interesting. The kids loved it. We did unwrapped tasting very cute. Loved create our own chocolate bar and the 4d movie cute as well. It was crowded and felt safe and socially distant. The store was nice and had a good variety. We tried the chocolate port sliders. The were good for a fast counter service. It was very clean. Great day with family.

It's a tourist trap but a great place to go if you just have a little time and want to experience a little bit of Hershey. The free factory tour at Chocolate World is really a ride that gives you an idea of what goes on in the factory. We were disappointed to not see them really make chocolate, but we only had a short time and really enjoyed our free ride, the free mini chocolate bar at the end, and walking around the GIANT chocolate-inspired mini-mall (complete with restaurants). LOTS of things you can pay to do. Still fun, though, if you don't spend a dime (even parking is free).

We used this as our mid-day stop on a long driving day and we were bummed that we didn’t do more planning ahead of our visit. We should have stayed closer to Hershey and purchased tickets online ahead of time. We were only able to do one experience but the kids made the most of it and still had a fun time. To get your money’s worth, take the time to plan ahead. And make sure the kids are wearing comfortable shoes.

I saw they offer 2 attractions and 2 in store experiences on their website. Do these cost anything?

hi from Wisconsin we went in October and I don't know what the attractions are in store experiences are. They have a small area where you can order custom goodies and who she shakes I would suggest to her she shake it was the best Shake I've had in my entire life oh my goodness it was wonderful quite the experience. there are a couple small gift shops and a wall of M&M's and Hershey kisses and syrup and 20 pound Hershey bars. what is nice as it doesn't cost anything to go in and I don't know what the experience is our I apologize definitely worth a while at least a 45-minute visit you do have to pay for parking which is adjacent to building you have to pay for parking everywhere.
We are planning a trip to Niagara this summer and plan on visiting your store. My daughter uses a wheelchair and I would like to know if your store is accessible.
