Lovely CONSERVATION area; please respect that
Apr 2021
Due to Covid, very difficult to remain 2 meters apart on most parts of marsh trails - be sure to wear a mask. Read and follow information/guidance boards located at entrances. Unfortunately, witnessed many people off trail, disturbing wildlife, even feeding wildlife which is strictly forbidden - remember, this is a CONSERVATION area, not a zoo or picnic/amusement park. Adjacent residential areas now have no parking zones that are regularly patrolled and enforced, minimum $100 plus parking/standing/stopping fines, and potential towing - park at Jack Darling Park. Lovely paved trails along the waterfront leading into marsh from Jack Darling. Visitors welcome to marsh during DAYLIGHT HOURS ONLY so as to protect the wildlife - night patrols to discourage violators run regularly in milder weather.

Parking is at the Jack Darling Memorial Park entrance
Sep 2020
Lovely walking trails in a woodland setting are easy for all ages and most abilities. Note that the Bexhill Rd entrance is for pedestrians only. There is no parking at that entrance. Free parking is available at the Jack Darling Memorial Park entrance, 1180 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga. Walk west along the lake and straight into the trail. During COVID be aware that some trails are narrow and social distancing can be tricky. Stepping off-trail to pass comes with a risk of poison ivy and ticks.

Open Air Trails
Sep 2020
This is a wonderful trail that is only few steps from various parking spots along the trail. Easy to walk with plenty of board walks, open air and greenery. If you are lucky, there might even some surprises along the trails.

Gorgeous hiking trails
Sep 2020
Fresh air, winding paths, and multiple trails are waiting in this conservation area. Also get some good exercise in an outdoors environment. Lots of different tree species and bird life to study as you walk the long trails.

An Extension of Jack Darling Park
Aug 2019
Lots of boardwalk space extending into a marshland teaming with wildlife such as deer, red winged blackbirs, and thick vegetation. A lovely place to walk on the shores of our beloved Lake Ontario. I have been there many times.

This is a special place in Mississauga and the GTA teaming with wildlife. We went in the fall when all the bugs were gone.

I walked through here a lot while on maternity leave - it's very peaceful though it can get busy on weekends.
