The place is nice but the staff is so unfriendly! They were so rude and treated us and our kids like vermin. Good place to visit, but try not to interact with the staff much.

Went with a few friends for afternoon tea. The tea itself was quite average--baked goods were packaged Loblaws goods--home baked would have made the experience more authentic. The house itself is quite fascination to look at and i enjoyed the tour.

Learned so much! Loved the house and the grounds. The museum was well laid out and organized. And the house was filled with so many wonderful original items. And that amazing feeling of history that I love to experience was felt in every room of their house. Having the tour guide is a must and I highly recommend. Plus just... More

Took my grade 2 students there for an outing and was enjoyable to see this historic landmark so well preserved. All loved the experience and a must do...once Christmas is special there,

I lived around the corner from this place for 15 years and went there once or twice. I was inside the actual Historic House twice and it is interesting but also really not so interesting at the same time if that makes any sense.

Benares Historic house is quite an exception when one wants to go back in time. This house has been preserved including the furniture inside the bedrooms and the staircase is uniquely design. Fascinating to witness life in the olden days. When in Mississauga, Ontario, this is highly recommended as a place not to be missed.

This is a great place to visit that gives you a picture of what it was like living 100 years ago. THe house is rich with history and the volunteers to an excellent job trying for you to envision what it was like living there at that time. For years I have passed it and never thought of going but... More
