Just checked it out after hours and it was a beauty looking place. Lots of tall trees in an amazing setting ideal for an outdoor picnic or just as a short hike.

We spent a magical afternoon on a tour given by Christiana just before Christmas, 2017. The family who had lived in the home for generations was brought to life through the treasures they had left behind and through Christiana's stories. (I was particularly inspired by...More

They dress this historic house up for Xmas, and sometimes have sleigh rides with horses for free. It's a quick visit, maybe 20 minutes, tiny little gift shop as well.

Great to watch the entertainers on the porch of Benares Historic House while you sit back in your lawn chair under the trees in total relaxation. Now there is a market as sell with honey, soaps, food vendors etc.

Lovely older home available for walk through. They offer local entertainment / talent outdoors in the summer on Friday nights. Check the website for further details. . They suggest a donation at the end of the concert.
