Found this bridge and did not really know the history. The bridge was purchased by the city of London from a catalog from a bridge company in Ohio. Part of London History. Till recently a car bridge but closed and only open to pedestrians and...More

It's a nice bridge, don't get me wrong. Also one of the first bridges to span the river. Besides that, it's just a bridge, don't go out of your way to visit.

Blackfriars Bridge has been re-built and is being re-installed using a huge crane. Drop by soon before all the construction excitement is over.

Old, old bridge I used to play around it with friends back in the day. This bridge is being refurbished. It has been lifted and will be placed back when the work is done. One of the oldest bridges in London over the Thames River.

The bridge is currently undergoing a major facelift. The original is a wooden bridge not quite made for 2 way traffic. Slow going is the way but that's fine because you are crossing the Thames River and the bridge starts out from the trees in...More

This is one of the oldest steel construction bridges in Ontario. It has been the subject of very heated debates of whether to replace or repair. As of Nov 2017 it has been dismantled for repairs. It will not be rebuilt until late 2018

Walked on this bridge and played around it when I was a kid. Only one car could get through at a time. Now they are refurbishing it and trying to conserve most.

Bridge has recently been renovated and is a cute little bridge but not a place your going to spend much time at unless your interested in the architecture of it. It is treasured in the community and frequently used. It makes for some nice photographs...More

This quaint, very old wooden bridge across the Thames has always been a favourite of mine. Unfortunately it can't carry the heavy loads of modern traffic and was constantly under repairs. The bridge has been closed to vehicular traffic for many years now and its...More

Although traffic can no longer use this bridge, it's history and access are now enjoyed by pedestrians. This old historical landmark still remains in decent repair, and leads to the city's most desirable walking paths along the Thames river.
