This is a nice little pioneer village with old buildings that is probably not worth going out of your way to visit. But I went during a War of 1812 re-enactment, held for one weekend every September. Then the village really comes to life. This...More

Amazing, Engaging, Fun. Two members of our family recently went to the Village, Age 23 and age 10, both remarked that they had a great day, and that the experience was far more wonderful they they had anticipated.

A beautiful setting for a pioneer village, lots to see and do with interpretors, re-enactments and much more. Very quiet and peaceful in the park but loads of events going on.

Wonderful place to volunteer, especially in the lazy, hazy days of summer. A real back-to-nature experience. A great place to visit with children to give them an idea of how their ancestors lived. Always lots of extra events throughout the season and into the fall.
