A beautiful university campus with lots of activities and close to both the waterfront and the downtown core of Kingston. I attended this school and loved every minute of it.

One of the oldest universities in Canada, Queen's campus sprawls over city blocks in downtown Kingston. It is well worth a walk or a drive through to check out!!

We recently visited Queens for their Annual Fall Visit Day. We were impressed with the lay out and the amazing old building. A great deal of History. Just wish it was a warmer day....

We had some time after driving the beautiful riverside roadway that leads out of Kingston to the west. On our way back, we just happened to see that Queen's University was just a short distance off the road. Maybe it was the beautiful day, but...More

We drove by here with the Trolley tour. Lots of rich history to learn and hear about. There are many beautiful building and grounds to tour and look around. If we had more time in the area we would love to explore some more!

We are visiting Kingston as part of a Rugby / Hockey tour from Wales. The accommodation is excellent, clean and reasonably priced. The food in the Restaurant is simple but well prepared and plentiful. Ask about the Meal Deal. It is about a 15 minute...More

The Queens University meets its standards even when it comes to summer accommodations. It is a great place that can offer a cheap but high quality experience to travelers to Kingston.

Go EAST on the 401. Turn off when you see Kingston, then drive SOUTH through the village if you want to go to Queens University. Also if you try to find Kingston General Hospital, Queens University is next to it.

The others have covered the options. One thing to keep in mind is that the busses limit the amount of luggage to one suitcase. If you will be using a car Ottawa international airport (YOW) is also a nice option to get to... More

City apartment for 2 weeks (3 Replies)
I will be in Kingston for 2 weeks 24 Sept - 8 Oct 2006, visiting my daughter who will be at Queens University for one semester, on exchange from Australia. I am trying to find an apartment or unit at least 2 bedrooms to rent in Kingston, preferably walking distance from Queens. So far I have only found hotels, Inns or country cottages by searching. Any sites or contacts for short stay accommodation would be appreciated.

Recomendations for a short skiing trip near Queens Uni (11 Replies)
I would appreciate some advice here! Im researching on where is the nearest skiiing resort (or with nearby accommodation so I can stay-over near the skiing hill) to Queens university Kingston, Ontario, that is recommended? I plan to take some lessons, ski for a day or two during end december, before heading to Queens university to start study in Jan 2014. Thank you

I think the closest to Queen's is Calabogie Peaks, but it is a small hill. For a resort town feel, head into the United States and visit Lake Placid, NY or stay in Canada and head to Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Be sure to book early as that is a popular time.
