This beautiful waterfront park in Downtown Kingston has plenty of photo-worthy spots and is a must-see for tourists. Located right across Kingston City Hall, Confederation Park is the home of the "I in Kingston" 3D sign, Engine 1095 locomotive as well as Kingston's Visitor Information Centre. The arch fountain which occupies the centre of the park serves as a good foreground when taking scenic photos of Kingston City Hall. The park also has several full-size illuminated picture frame installations (photo booths) that look spectacular at dusk. There are plenty of benches to sit on. Face the water and you'll get a good view of the marina and the historic Shoal Tower. There is even a cute but fake lighthouse that serves as the Confederation Basin Marina office.

Confederation park is a nice little park in the middle of town. It had a fountain in the middle and a number of statues around, not least the memorial to the animals in war. It is a place for a break form the activity of the city. Plenty of seats and quite a lot to look at

A quiet, relaxing place with great photo opportunities. Incorporating the visitor centre which apparently used to be the main train station and has an old locomotive outside. Not always easy to get parked close by but there are car parks within walking distance.
Just a nice place to sit quietly and watch the world go by.

We stopped ... we left... too much goose poop everywhere! Info centre did not seem to have much info. Kingston is not dog-friendly according to the info center... no known dog-friendly restaurant patios. Stopping in was not worth the effort.

This is a gorgeous little part in a lovely area of Kingston, near the water. You can grab some gelato at Mio Gelato, then sit and enjoy the views.

This square is very well located, just in front of the city hall and beside the tourist centre and famous engine. We’ve visited this summer and we fell in love with Kingston. A must for sure.

Kingston is beautiful, but we were disappointed with the Confederation water it was dirty. We saw some off the kids playing in the water and lots of ducks swimming plus dogs....not a good place to be in the water if it dirty.

The park is easy to access from anywhere and you can visit Engine 1095 and creative art in the park. Close to shopping, bars and restaurants. Worth the visit any time of the year.

Nice park next to the Engine and Kingston sign. Great place to walk, have a picnic and take lots of photos. Good place for family photos with the engine and Kingston sign.
