As you enter or leave the city of Hamilton via the 403 in the West end you can't help but notice this beautiful structure. I have visited many times over many years and have attended various celebrations and events. I am still inspired as I enter the large beautifully constructed doors. Just the architecture itself is breathtaking and inspiring and... More

I make it a habit of attending Mass here every year. It's very beautiful and ushers were very helpful. The padded pews and speakers in each pew are unique features

Certainly there are grander churches in the world, but there are few that are so inviting, since the beauty of gothic architecture is on a more human scale. It is a must see

Attended a wedding in the Cathedral this year and as a child am always in awe of the stunning structure. It takes a while to look at all the detail and one gets the feeling you want to stay until you can see all of it.

With such a beautiful structure on the outside, I was nervous we would be disappointed by the interior. We weren't. What an unexpected work of art! It looked like they had everything polished for a special ceremony (but maybe it is always kept to this standard. I was surprised to see padded pews. That doesn't happen too often in Catholic... I came here for the 9 a.m. Sunday mass while staying in Hamilton. The basilica is quite beautiful, with many ornate stained glass windows. According to the church bulletin, it's open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during July and August from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. I definitely recommend it for anyone who is in Hamilton, whether... This Cathedral is typical of what you find in the United Kingdom. I used it as a sample for photos before my first trip to England

Visited this on Sunday for the 11am mass. Beautiful old-style church even it's built in 1933. A nice place for quite time with God and inspiration.
