We were here for the recent NHL Prospects CHL hockey game.
Nice arena - no complaints (but should still have reference to Copps Coliseum).
I went to purchase a couple of chocolate bars (needed something after our great (not) meal at George Hamilton Restaurant lol - the girl said $10.
I thought she was joking around but she was serious - I laughed.
She kept apologizing - I told her not your fault don't worry about it.
I laughed all the way back to my seat.
Staff are nice, arena seating and sight lines are good, food prices are high - amen !

Came to the First Ontario Centre for a Bulldogs game. This is a good venue for a game, with good acoustics and visuals. Our seats provided a great view, and staff were friendly.

I'd recommend parking a bit further away from the arena - on Macnab, Queen, etc. To save a few bucks. There are city lots a short walk away! Also, food and drinks are pricey so get ready for that.

As someone who attends concerts all over, and quite frequently, I have seen all kinds of staff, both good and bad. From those many concerts, Hamilton absolutely takes the cake for my best staff experience at a venue.
I travelled to the First Ontario Centre to see Ghost play in October, not expecting much more than bored looking security and ushers. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff was throughout the night during entry, waiting for the doors to the stage area to open, and waiting for the band to start. They were all lovely!
After the concert was over, I was immediately offered the elevator when the staff saw me with my cane, as well as water and a place to sit down when I made a comment to my friend about being tired/feeling slightly unwell. We were even given some extra confetti and bills from the canon that had collected on the other side of the barrier once most of the crowd had cleared out.
The venue staff made my night all that much better, as the behaviour of security can truly make or break a concert. Keep it up guys!

She was great! The logistics around getting tickets was terrible. We had tried to download e-tickets but couldn't. Ticketmaster tried too. Couldn't. Said to ask at the venue. They were no help.
Food was terrible. Venue terrible. Location bad as traffic horrific.
Expensive.
Would not do it again.

Concert acoustics was good. Remember no food or drinks from outside is allowed at this venue.
If you have prepurchased your tickets scan to your phone as the WiFi is horrible as everyone else is trying to access the website to produce their tickets. All isn't lost as the box office will charge you $25. to reprint tickets.

Great venue, clean washrooms. Could have had a few more concession stands to handle crowds but overall very good.

Went to see Cirque yesterday, it was amazing! The show started at 3:30 & it let out around 5:30. The costumes were beautiful & the performances were breathtaking! An extremely entertaining afternoon! I would highly recommend.

I saw a skating show here. The lighting bothered my eyes and gave me a headache. The seats were too close together. The music was way too loud and the food was way over priced. Eat elsewhere. The skating was very good. I liked the second half better than the first half. I won't come to Stars on Ice again.

I attended the BlackPink Concert with my daughter. We booked the cheapest ticket in the upper level and yet the view was great. Plenty of parking for different prices. I did not want to walk at midnight long distance.
The staff is helpful. I love this place and the seating worth the money. I will love attend all events in this place

We decided to take our kids who are very in love with monster trucks to the show. It wasnt bad but it also wasnt great for the price we paid for 5 people.

The show was just slow and rather boring to be honest. I over heard from someone that this has to do with the venue not being big enough to accommodate the full show....which begs the question why would anyone want to pay 60-70 a ticket for it? Apparently the show in Toronto is much more eventful.

My largest complaint is a common one but one that apparently never changes. I went to get 5 drinks, I paid $23 for 3 apple juice, regular sized bottles, 1 diet Pepsi and ginger ale and on top of that they have the arrogance to ask for a tip....unless the tip is for how badly they are ripping you off all they literally do is fetch a drink from a fridge, unbelievable.

The cheapest noise reducing headphone cost $20 each. A snow cone in a lit up grave digger cup will run you $20, the other cups will run you $15. We didn't bother eating at the place as that would be beyond idiotic to pay gauged prices for essentially truck food.

Parking was a nightmare and we were very lucky to snipe a spot. I'd highly recommend if you are reading this get there 45-1 hour early for parking and to beat out traffic. It took us about 45 minutes to go from the highway to even get downtown.

We believe our kids enjoyed it though we are likely to search out a better entertainment per dollar event for them in the future and chalk this up to a learning experience.
