A lovely way to celebrate the Christmas season! Some old fashioned caroling, Canadian history, hot chocolate and fire works! Very interesting to see and learning how Canadians of long ago lived and celebrated the holidays.

We found this place by chance and are so happy we did. This Historic village is such a wonderful collection of buildings, artifacts and a preservation of a bygone age. The very knowledgeable volunteers who staff the site are dressed in period clothing, making you...More

Had a great time walking around. Carnival games were great, lots of samples, steam tractor ride was extra special. A great group of people.

What a fabulous experience. Experience the late 1700's, the 1800's, and early 1900's. Wonderful collection of buildings staffed with super knowledgeable volunteers who really know a bundle about the trades they represent (cobbler, cabinet maker, blacksmith, spinning thread, weaving, and so much more). Be sure...More

The display of items is amazing, the volunteers knowledgeable. The biggest rant is that it is run by volunteers which puts people out of a job. Every person there is FREE labour. No job creation here. Glad to see the village is restoring buildings that...More

Westfield Heritage Village is an incredible peak back in time. The collection of original buildings, mostly from the 1800s, really sets the scene. But it is the contribution of it's wonderful volunteers that really makes this place memorable. Dressed in the clothing of the day...More

History really comes alive at Westfield village. I can't say enough about the wonderful volunteers, dressed in period clothes and representing different people of varying time periods during early Canadian history. They are a wealth of information, I heard stories, learned interesting details, asked questions...More
