I first learned about this place went I talked to two very active volunteers from this place at a Hamilton, Ontario historic site last year. In fact, during my short visit today I talked to three volunteers that were gardening by the gift shop. Despite being closed I walked around the grounds after giving a small donation by the admission... More

What a great place for a family to explore, we loved the hands on tour of the past and the kids learned many historical facts. It's a wonderful experience year round, summer time is fun and so is early spring and fall. Our personal favourite is the train and the horse-carriage ride.

I've come to this attraction a few times when it comes to the kids' school trips. It is great! The staff at Westfield Heritage Village are fantastic! Everyone is so kind and helpful and teach you a lot. Very informative and great learning experience!

To begin we have four boys relatively young ages 3-10. This place was awesome to say the least. The people working there were so kind, helpful, knowledgeable and more. This is a working village that has homes, workshops, a school, an inn and much more with period appropriate furnishings in each. There is a person dressed as a character at... More

What a wonderful village. We went for the ice cream festival and had so much fun the kids wanted to go the next day again. It was fantastic! The people mover ride was their favourite but the free ice cream samples were a close second. With this village being included in the nature reward pass it is such an amazing... More

This is our second time visiting. This time it was an ice cream festival so there were a lot more people visiting than the last time, but we were still able to take our time and enjoy this beautiful village. Because of the festival there were some added bonuses, they had games from long ago in the middle of the... More

We've been here twice now and each time was a different unique experience. The volunteers are knowledgeable and really help add to the experience. Highly recommend going during the maple sugar festival!

I was really happy to visit this site. It is well priced, well planned out and easily accessible. The village is a timeless piece and the interpreters in each building are very knowledgeable and friendly. There are buildings from different periods and it is all run on a volunteer basis. Perfect for photos and fun for both kids and adults. I... More
