The best car service I have used. They are always on time, tech savvy so I can make reservations and communicate using any of my devices and also extremely flexible with their schedules.

Our group was waiting today for a 12:00 noon pick up. At 12:05 there was no driver. We called to check in and they told us our reservation was cancelled. We had received no notification and they did not attempt to contact the name on the booking even though he was able to repeat the phone number and email on file accurately. Funny enough we had a future reservation booked for a wedding next weekend as well and mermaid contacted the person on the reservation to cancel for next weekend 30 minutes after this incident (it was a different person on the booking). The representative on the phone was completely unapologetic. We are disgusted by their treatment on the phone and their service.

Following is my experience with Mermaid Limousine Service. After being dropped off at the airport we checked in to find that we had the Driver’s Passport and he had one of ours. I immediately called the office and explained the problem and the dispatcher (Joseph) said he would contact the Driver and have him exchange the Passports. There were no return calls to let me know the progress and my calls were now put to VM. I used another phone and it was answered. I was told the Driver was still at the airport and turning around. Obviously this was not true as an hour went by with no Driver. I called again, this time the owner answered and started shouting at me saying they couldn’t get in touch with him, he was not answering his phone, but the GPS said he was still at the airport. I said we were going to miss our flight and the owner shouted that he was not responsible, he was only responsible for getting us to the airport. He said he was going to call the Police and have them check the GPS location which they did. They found the Driver (80 years old) sleeping in the car. It was now 2 hours after being dropped off at the airport. When he eventually arrived at the airport, there was no apology just “your picture is better than mine.” We barely made it to the plane in time. I did expect that the owner would have written me a letter apologizing for this unfortunate incident, however, that was wishful thinking. We have used Mermaid several times before without a problem, but obviously when something does go wrong they do not handle it professionally. While there were no complaints with the driver’s ability to drive, his age (80) may have something to do with not remembering instructions e.g. he asked which address to go to first but then proceeded to go to the second one. He also didn’t follow the GPS said he knew a better way…….longer and not a direct route. After this experience we will NEVER recommend or use Mermaid again, there are lots of other choices out there.

Our first driver and ride was fine. However, we accidentally left belongings on the limo bus. A different driver (she was great) on the same day tried to help locate the first driver and the belongings without success. We then called the company. The customer service agent was disrespectful, sarcastic, and unhelpful. Given this response from customer service, we learned: If you leave something on the bus, don't expect to get it back, and choose a different company next time.
