Beautiful waterfalls. Short walk from the parking lot to the falls. $11 for parking all day. Lots of parking space when we got there. Many reviews here mentioned required reservation. We didn't have a reservation. We went on Saturday. No one was policing around and didn't see a sign about limited parking time. We stayed there for about 2-3 hours. Tiffany falls is also in the same area just several meters away. We walked to Tiffany via Bruce Trails, which is across from Sherman falls entrance. It's a bit hard to see the narrow entrance to Bruce trail. There's an intersection by the Sherman falls entrance. Look straight across towards the wooded/forestry area and you'll see a narrow entrance to Bruce trail. It's a super beautiful trail. It makes the journey to Tiffany Falls more rewarding. Bruce Trail is about 1.5 km walk. There's another 3rd falls nearby called Canterbury Falls but we couldn't find it. Maybe you can find it. Get a map by the parking lot.

The falls are easy to get to and beautiful and set back in the trees makes for wonderful pictures, great for small kids because there's no hiking required - My 1 star is for the city of Hamilton that's scamming tourists by giving them parking tickets when there are no "no parking" signs to be found knowing you won't drive all way back there to bother fighting it. This left a bad taste in our mouths and the 15 other people that got tickets along with us. After being charged $20 for Tews Falls then another charge for Webster then this scam we will find other areas to explore from now on. Watch where you park, it's not clearly marked where you can and can't leave your car.

Sherman Falls is a 17 metre high curtain waterfall found in Ancaster Heights. The watercourse if Ancaster Creek. It is located on private property near the Dundas section of the Bruce Trail. It has a year-round flow and has alternate names of Smith’s Falls & Whitton Falls as well.
To get to the falls, put this address on your GPS: 711 Artaban Road, Ancaster, ON. this will take you straight to the parking area without any hassles. Of if you are not using the GPS, once you are at the 1st set of lights, turn left on Montgomery drive, then right onto Old Dundas Road. You will come to a 3-way intersection. The falls is located in the woods on the left. Go straight ahead and follow Lions Club Road a short distance to Artaban and turn right. A paid HCA parking lot is not far ahead.
From the parking lot, the hike to the falls is extremely short (less than 5mins or so). We visited the falls on a rainy day but the hike is good for any age group. When we were there, the falls were flowing at full force. Nothing much to do there and good to visit if you are around in the area.

Although technically on private property the owners allow public viewing along a short loop of the Bruce Trail, just be sure to stay on the designated path. A beautiful ribbon/terraced waterfall surrounded by tranquil forest and lovely escarpment layers. Graceful is definitely the word that comes to my mind while watching Sherman Falls. They are easily accessible to hikers of all levels of physical fitness and with a good water flow throughout the year. Avoid parking tickets by using the lot at nearby Artaban Road. You can also take of advantage of the Bruce Trail to easily hike to nearby Tiffany or Canterbury Falls.

Its a really nice fall but there is no parking available nearby or at the falls. Most tourists park on the side road where there are no clear parking signs. Almost every couple hours a lady comes in a white unmarked suv and writes tickets even if you are near your car its almost sure to get a ticket.

The walk to these falls was very simple. I was expecting a bit longer walk to be honest.
Parking was the main difficulty. There are 2 paid parking lots near Sherman falls. We just parked up a the hill from the falls for free on a residential road.
The falls were gorgeous. The Bruce trail was just across the street so you could carry on and see numerous other falls. Definitely an easy hike to see these beauties.

I parked at Tiffany falls parking lot and the fees are $2/hr. I put in $3.25 and I still only received 1 hr.
I walked to Tiffany falls, then hiked to Sherman falls along the Bruce trail. I barely had enough time to get there and back.
Although the falls are both really nice to be at, the parking issue needs to be addressed by the Hamilton conservation authority. As a matter of fact it needs better leadership as many tourist opportunities are being missed.
I live in Hamilton and I enjoy having easy access to all the falls, but for tourists from out of town I can see their frustration and disappointment.
Once parking problems are overcome, one is appreciative of this natural beauty in the middle of an urban area. I find it mesmerizing.

Although located on a private property, public has access to the path leading to the Sherman falls located in Ancaster. Falls are 17 metres high and 8 metres wide. Parking nearby 2$/hr - google "711 Artaban Rd". One hour parking is plenty if you just want to go there.
