endangered but beauitiful old track, not unlike Kentucky's Keeneland but horses leave a lot to be desired... pleasant old-world atmosphere

There are points about this track that are old-fashion and very good and there are other points that are just barely average. It all depends on what you are looking for and what is important to you. The first thing you will notice when you arrive is that there is lots of parking and it is free. That alone is... More

Stopped at some friends while at Sherkston and they wanted to go to the track. Bet on few races and then went into the Casino. I find these places all the same, Good cheap fun at the track if you stay withing your means, the Casino is another thing.

My wife and I visit at least 1 race day a week. Usually Sunday's for a beautiful farmers market and an exciting day of racing. Yes the facility is a bit dated but none the less it is a beautiful track and very well kept. We always enjoy our day there. Fresh fruit and goodies from the market. A couple... More

This track used to have slots and racing great place to go. But the powers that be decided to pull the slots to force people to the falls casinos and to Toronto. It wiped out a lot of jobs and local horse type businesses without any advantage. The town of Fort Erie lost a ton of revenue from lost taxes.... More

While on holiday in Canada a friend asked if we would like to go to a race track, not being gamblers and having never been to one before we said yes to his invite. And what a most enjoyable day out it was, our friend mentioned that years ago this track was very popular and people travelled from miles around... More

This is a admission free place to visit and I had a wonderful time betting a small amount of money (minimum bet $2). I also liked that they had places outside where you could sit and have a drink and watch the game at individual patio tables. (Beer and Wine reasonable) and also offered food. I am so glad that... Still the prettiest track in Ontario, but prefer it back in its hay day. They run a very short season now with 2 days per week. Without a casino being allowed there, it has become less and less attended and cared for.

Large beautifully landscaped racetrack. Came for farmers market. Not many vendors however. Besides horseracing, not much else to do here.
