We came here around 4pm on a Friday, not sure if because it was still a weekday or that there’s a entrance fee to the park but I found it oddly quiet. The park was not busy at all and we were able to walk down the trail and enjoy the views at a good pace. We didn’t do any extra activities but I saw different families having picnics or fishing, and treetop trekking which sounded fun. Overall this was a beautiful afternoon :)

Let me start off by saying that I did visit the Heart Lake Conservation Area during the pandemic, so some activities were not available and I cannot comment on them. I still got to enjoy hiking in the beautiful scenery and exploring a place almost hidden so close to home. There is a lot to do here normally: a swimming pool and splash pad for children, boating, hiking, fishing, outdoor exercise equipment, treetop trekking & zip-lining. The area is huge and perfect for large group gatherings. It is also great for children and families as the trails are not too long, and there are shorter ones to choose from. I will also recommend visiting the Medicine Wheel Garden, which is lovely and very informational. There really is something for everyone! I will agree with some of the other reviewers that it would be nice if they were clearer on where the trails begin and continuing to mark them throughout. We had to ask an employee how to get to the main Lake Trail, although this barely counts as a problem. I must warn you that during July 2020, there were a lot of moths. While they don't necessarily fly towards humans, they are quite annoying. This isn't exclusive to Heart Lake though, as a lot of popular hiking areas around the GTA have been experiencing this recently. Overall, I will definitely be coming back here once I work up the courage to try treetop trekking and zip-lining! I recommend everyone visit this conservation area and enjoy all it has to offer.

Good hiking spot. Directions could be slightly better. There is a entry fee but the area is worth it. Usually busy.

Very good place for picnic with fun activities in heart Lake park in summer. Which includes boating, rope sliding, swimming, playing games etc etc.
