This is an old school theater like we used to go to as kids, but the seating in theater 3 is wicked!!!! You get big leatherette easy chairs with foot rests that flip out. Needless to say the leg room in this theater is unreal. It's worth the dorky concession stand, and the total of three video games in the... More

Located in the old downtown core of Barrie, the Uptown Theatre is a step back in time. The prices are significantly better than the other two options in Barrie, but the movie selections are usually a bit older or small budget films. It's a great option to have! The atmosphere is pretty cool and retro. The one disappointment I have... More

Old school, classic movie theatre feel - I would choose to go here any day over Cineplex. Sometimes the newer movies take a bit of time to come to this one but I'd gladly wait. $20 will get you a ticket, popcorn, drink and candy - can't beat that anywhere else!

We have been going to this movie theatre regularly for a few years now. A few years ago we absolutely loved this theatre...a classic experience with a lot of original titles and limited crowding. Slowly but surely we have seen this theatre become more and more run down. They have tried to revitalize it by adding a bar...which I have... More

We have gone to this downtown theatre many times. It is a smaller theatre than the newer ones in the suburban shopping malls and is in the downtown core where parking could be problem. Strangely enough, we have never had problems parking so it is not an issue for us. As mentioned by others, runs many good but less popular... More

They show good current movies at a reduced price. Downtown location is great for dinner before or after. You must try Four Season Delight across the road for authentic Chinese Food.

This is an older theatre in the heart of Barrie. One of the theatres has comfy, lounge seats and if you look at their ad in the local paper, it identifies which film is playing with these seats. In the other theatres, you sometimes have to watch which seat you sit in...some are more comfortable than others but the theatres... More

This small old-time renovated theatre is a gem. It does not necessarily cater to the block buster crowd, but it does offer top quality movies that a mature audience appreciates. Some of the theatres have reclining seats that are so comfortable. They also have a liquor licence. The popcorn is excellent. This is a wonderful date night experience because you... More

This theater is the best in Barrie! It has a lot of really old charm to it, you get a kinda creepy vibe going upstairs with all the mirrors, which is cool. They have a licensed bar too! Comfy seats!
