Majestic!

Put in simple term this may well be the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Situated on the very top of a hill it is a place of quite extraordinary beauty. There are narrow streets lined with solid stone buildings. The tiny church and graveyard cling in an unlikely manner to the top of the mountain. There are a few small cafes but this place is all about the views. Every direction you look has views that surpass the last in beauty and majesty. The all prevailing sense is that here is a place that has not been destroyed by tourism. There are visitors here to be sure but like us they are made to park outside of town and to walk in which helps to preserve the nature of this fabulous little village. Sure it is out of the way and the road to it is bad but you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not visit this lovely little town and have a coffee in the wonderful little cafe which hangs precipitously above the most wonderful views imaginable. If this or any of my reviews is useful to you I would be grateful for a helpful vote!

Чумовое место. С одной стороны абсолютно восхитительные виды со скалы, ради одних них имеет смысл ехать, а с другой - крайне симпатичный средневековый город. Можно посидеть в ресторане на террасе над обрывом.

Beautiful place. On one hand there is a panoramic view from the rock and they are deserved to be visited themselves. On other hand there is very cozy medieval town. Take a rest on the the terrace of the restaurant looking at the steep.

The narrow and windy road up to the top is a little daunting but the views are well worth it. A cute little village to walk around as well.

So many great views from the top. Serene up there. A must visit in Montsant. The road up to the top is harrowing, but completely worth the white-knuckle ride. This is a once in a lifetime location, for sure.

The road up is pretty windy, about 6km but it's really well worth the effort because the view up there is incrediblely beautiful.

really worth a trip out from the costa dorada. Not only is the castle and village on top of the mountain a spectacular sight, but also the drive over the pass before you even get there is spectacular. We were advised by a restaurant owner to drive on to escala-dei (also spelt without the hyphen) which has a ruined monsatery in a spectacular setting

A hidden gem and a great drive.

Really worth seeing this place. Even the drive there is entertaining if you like the clutch burning windy roads and an ever-changing landscape. The village itself is set on top of a mountain and you will have to travel a long distance to find another village like it accessible by road. There are a couple of cafes a bar, and a restaurant and 2 or 3 hotels.
Nice to get away from the tourist traps. If you're not driving some of the Salou tour guides will bring you there: its a little over an hour by car.
