A sunny day with blue skies and very pleasant company as I walked along the waterfront! Plenty to see, lots of information points, multiple places to sit and soak up the atmosphere. Add in the benefit of some very well stocked establishments offering such delights as freshly baked rum cake and hay ho a very delightful morning!!

The Halifax Riverfront Boardwalk was a great Promenade in order to view the waterfront. There were nice images of Dartmouth and of the surrounding islands. I also got to look up to the downtown areas of Halifax. This walkway had many gift shops, restaurants, bars, and other businesses. Some apartments were located just off of this area. There were also a few museums located alongside this pedestrian avenue. There were some artistic displays alongside this walkway, and I felt perfectly safe taking my stroll. I would just advise people to bundle up as it can get quite chilly.

This is one of the best boardwalks we have seen travelling. There are some great restaurants and shops along here but watch out for the birds that are always around looking for a free meal. Hard to find an outdoor eating spot not covered in bird goo. We saw multiple cruise ships in port and it was an easy walk to get back to the ship.

The staff were fantastic and attentive. Location was also nice. Boardwalk out front and sky corridors to the casino and to a food court. Within walking distance of all historic sites. Thanks Jenn for watching out for my food allergies! You were great!

The Historic Halifax Waterfront is a vibrant and friendly vacation destination. There is a wide variety of food vendors ,restaurant and shops along the waterfront that will satisfy your taste buds as well as your interest in Canadian history. Halifax is full of history and places of interest. Come to one of Canada's original starting points as a country. Halifax is a unique blend of old and new architecture. Land and sea tours are available to explore the rich Nova Scotia heritage. The waterfront is a dog friendly area that has several water stops and dog business spots. Lots of interesting features are within walking distance and you will get quite a workout. Come and sample the different things the waterfront has to offer and leave happy and satisfied.

We strolled the harbor after first arriving in Halifax. Lots of parking, food options and shops. My children particularly enjoyed the playground and giant wave. It was not as picturesque as I was expecting but still a great way to spend some time.

A must see when in Halifax. I had high expectations as it is talked of very highly but felt it wasn’t as amazing as everyone says. Definitely a nice place to visit to walk around, shop and grab some snacks. There did look to be some amazing restaurants on the boardwalk. There are public bathrooms scattered along the board walk that are in good shape. There is parking near the waterfront but we ended up parking further away.

Come early to avoid crowds and enjoy a more leisurely walk. Boardwalk is filled with nice shops, art installations and entertainment. Stop by museums to take in some AC on a hot day. We’d been here before the major renovation project and its completed work was well worth it.

You need at least 3 full days (4 nights) more if you can. Boardwalk is a great place to end you day of excursions. Lots of restaurants, bars, buskers and even a casino. With Halifax as your home base. You can day trip to The Citadel Fortress, Peggy's Cove, Nunenburg, Mahone Bay, etc. etc.

It's a happening place! Halifax is a quaint town....lots of people on the boardwalk. So cute that you'll find groups of couples dancing, or walking with their dogs. The views are spectacular...boats, canoeing, cruise ships. Lots of families. Many restaurants to choose from. Not many stores...can use more of them, but, quite cute.
