A Must Go experience. Farmers and craftspeople from all over Nova Scotia bring their wares here weekly. I was here in november and the varieties of apples were eye-popping. I found wonderful art work as affordable cards and postcards, fine wood work, beeswax wraps, food galore especially lobster rolls. Take time to talk with the sellers - everyone i spoke with had interesting stories to tell!

If you're in Halifax for the weekend, visit the market on the harbourfront. It has a huge number of vendors, with great eats and great products. I love the singing chef who makes delicious wraps! And I love the fresh breads and homemade sweets. The summer/fall is the best time for produce, but I was pleasantly surprised by the greens available even in March.

A wonderful landmark on the waterfront with plenty to do inside, or garb a snack and go to the outdoor space on the roof to see the harbour with all of its beauty and activity.

We went to the market on our way back to the cruise ship. Normally I spend very little time looking as the product is usually very touristy but this market was lovely. the vendors were very talented and almost all the product we saw was handmade. The woman selling jewelry made from old silverware was amazing. Needless to say we spent a “few” dollars

This is what I always remembered a traditional Canadian market to be. The local content is what makes this place so special.

Came across of it while we took walk to harbour front. Most do vendors were selling food, that didn’t even look attractive, the place was also half empty.

Lots of local, handmade crafts and foods to purchase and take home if you are visiting for the day. We were here visiting for the day while our cruise ship was in port, and we did a walk through since it is adjacent to Pier 21 where our ship docked.

This is the Market which is right off the cruise ship terminal - lots of things to see and buy - while you are in the area it does not hurt to see it.

We are considering a vacation in January with our 2 children. We are trying to find out more information about the rooms and features of the rooms to decide if this will work for our family. Our son has multiple food allergies, and normally I take food for him to eat while on vacation. Do any of the hotels have frig or microwave in the room?
