There was not much to see as it was all cover with scaffold and tarps. I am sure it will be lovely when finished.

I’ve lived in Halifax my entire life and have run, walked and bicycled by this landmark for over 50 years but I always enjoy seeing it. If you make the trek up the citadel you will notice the face on the west side of the...More

Unfortunately there's scaffolding all around this old clock tower so pictures wouldn't do it justice, but nice to see. Sits below the Citadel.

Regrettably it was total unviewable as it was surrounded by scaffolding! Guess when work is completed it will be EXCELLENT.

Work was being done on this clock that has stood the test of time and still works. It was a gift from Prince Edward who liked to be punctual and wanted others to be punctual as well.

We visited this icon as part of a Free Walking Tour. Our guide, Erin, explained the complete history of the clock, which was very interesting. If you are going to visit this, do it with a guide as the story behind it is enthralling.

It’s under renovations but well worth the time to go half a look and then also go a little further up the hill to the citadel, there’s an explanation on what happened on 6th December when 2 ships collided and the destruction of what happened....More
