We went to Point Pleasant Park and had a beautiful walk. I loved being able to walk in the park and have the beach there as well. There were all sorts of people there walking, jogging, playing with their children etc. It's a beautiful place to sit and watch the boats and ships as they go in and out of... More

This is one of our favourite places to tale a walk, go for a jog, sit on the ocean or dog watch. Many people take there dogs here for the afternoon walk. I love dogs and there are so many varieties here. Most people will let you pat them and love to talk about them. It is great place to... More

Ok maybe cake by the ocean is better but point pleasant park is picturesque. Walking, running, biking and sea side picnics. The park is well groomed throughout the spring summer and fall. In winter the main trails are passable with caution. Many hills to climb if you want to venture beyond the waterfront walk.

Halifax has some pretty amazing parks. This is one of them. There are tree covered trails to breathe in some fresh air and stretch your legs. You can run, walk or play with your dog. This beloved park is a perfect place for a picnic on the waterfront. Oh, and yes. You'll get so many smiles because you are in... More

This park is the perfect place to forget about the world. It offers beautiful views, and is ideal for sitting down in the grass, with a cold drink, and reading a book. It's also not bad if you fancy yourself as a jogger. Would certainly recommend visiting, you've got nothing to lose (it's free).

Great place to bring the family if they like walking and being out of the city-type environment. The kids can run and run. There's lots to explore.

A great destination to walk to from downtown, following the waterfront trail through the harbour. Old British fortifications, and defenses up to WW II. Monuments and trails and of course the ocean. (also a beach when warm enough). A great bet to spend an hour or so without any commercialism. One of Halifax's best.

Great place to walk along the ocean and see some historic Halifax sites! Off leash portions of the park for dogs too.

We were so happy to spend our Saturday afternoon walking the trails of this lovely park. On this sunny day joggers, dog lovers, families, and just those out for a nature walk took advantage of wandering the forest trails. The wide, hard packed trails work for those pushing a stroller or doing a run. Many historical points of interest are... More
