There is an excellent market on Saturday mornings - opens at *am and get there early. Lots of fresh produce and beautiful breads and pastries as well as good seafood and meats there are also graft stalls - something for everyone

There is very little to do or see here, the market was closed down although one can walk into downtown easily. The best option is to walk the 2 miles to the other ferry terminal and catch the ferry back which is an easy paved walk of about 45 mins.

Nice to see an outside vendor offering food on the waterfront. Albeit only fried food -- hot dogs, donairs, fries, poutine, etc. but the picnic tables at the water's edge are a nice addition. I was able to return my library book, browse the market and enjoy a quick bite to eat with my family, all at the same time.

I have attend one of the most technically entertaining shows that I have ever seen !! The most impressive part was that the pieces were performed by children/young adults aged from 12-18 years of age. Amazing solos by Julia Colpitts and Jade Chaplin and featuring a spectacular duet by Jordan Horne and Abbie Shea . Brava ladies and I'm looking... More

The Alderney Ferry runs between the Alderney Landing Terminal in Dartmouth and Halifax. The Halifax terminal is in the middle of the boardwalk and gives visitors immediate access to the tourist attractions. The ferry runs every 15 minutes in the rush hour periods, and every 30 minutes during the day. The crossing takes about 12 minutes and costs $2.50 for... More

Nice little spot for a lunch - outdoors or indoors - delicious seafood - especially the fish and chips, also a great spot to just walk around and check out the other little shops there!!!!

I think it is the size that appeals to me. Not so hectic as the other one across the harbor. There are many interesting booths, love to pick up some homemade goodies & sometimes to just checkout new items on sale.

Love shopping at Alderney Landing. Noggins Farm Market is a great stop for LOCAL groceries and treats. Lots of fresh all local, some organic and some spray free veggies, fruit, berries, eggs, cheese, milk, bread, cookies, chocolate and much more. Noggins is open 7 days a week. In the same building eat at Evan's Seafood - family owned, local fish... More

One of my favourite parts of this place is weirdly enough the smell as soon as you walk in the door. The health and wellness short inside selling all kinds of essential blends fills the whole place with a heavenly fragrance. Saturday mornings are amazing her with the market which is full of local vendors selling everything from fruits, and... More
