Dartmouth crossing is the premiere shopping destination of Dartmouth that's for sure. Great selection since Cabela's and Ikea. Great hotels and even more to come!

We stayed at a hotel in Dartmouth Crossing because of the great shopping in the area including IKEA and all the boutique stores at the Crossing. You can shop till you drop in this area.

Average outdoor outlet stores which I found very underwhelming. Top stores would be Banana Republic and Tommy Hilfiger. There is an IKEA, Costco, Dollarama, Walmart and Cineplex Odeon close by.

There are many shops at Dartmouth crossing but it is a bit of a drive from the waterfront where your ship will be docked, maybe 15-20 mins and across a toll bridge. There are plenty of shops and things to see and do right... More

Dartmouth Crossing (2 Replies)
Hello everyone. Could you help my mother with the easiest directions to Dartmouth Crossing coming from the Bedford area. She will be going to some patio place there within the next few weeks. Would the Chicken Burger turnoff be easiest??? I have lived there many moons ago for 3 years but forget street names etc. Please advise.

Yeah, she'll want to take the Magazine Hill, which is turning at the Chicken Burger and going up the hill. When you get to the first set of lights at Akerley, hang a left. Go up and up Akerley until you get to the last set of lights at Leon's, and hang a right. The very next set of lights you come to, hang another left, and follow that road and it will take her into the back way of Dartmouth Crossing right by the movie theatres.

So first off I agree with everyone that Halifax is a good central area to stay. Halifax has great food and shopping. Downtown you will want to explore waterstreet, argyle and spring garden rd for food. The Hamachi Steak house on the waterfront has a teppanyaki grill which is excellent food and entertainment. There is one mall, Halifax Shopping Center- however, nearby in Dartmouth you will find a larger mall, the MicMac Mall, and a large shopping center called Dartmouth Crossing. About an...More

Halifax Black Friday Weekend for shopping - newbie (15 Replies)
So we're heading to Halifax to do some Christmas shopping next Friday for two nights. It just happens to be Black Friday which I know isn't as crazy in Canada as US but I've never been to Halifax. I know there is Dartmouth Crossing and Mic Mac Mall. Anywhere else we should go for shopping? Also we're used to shopping in Freeport, Maine for Christmas but we aren't this year because our dollar is so bad. We love how Christmassy Freeport is. Is there anything Christmassy going on next weekend...More
