Great experience regarding artistic and innovative local design and craft. More retail space like this on Charlotte Street would be welcome. It seems the cruise ship fiddle shops has become the new Charlotte Street

This beautiful gallery space offers the best local crafts in Sydney. Items are available in every price range and in every art discipline. I visit here many times a year as the craft offerings can be different.

Cape Breton has a deep tradition of producing art and crafts. This shop displays and sells a wide array of products including jewelry, paintings, photography, quilts, ceramics, glass, scarves, woven products, wood bowls and cheese boards and more. It's well worth a visit and a pleasure to support local artisans. There's another craft shop nearby (also on Charlotte Street) called Artisans in the Attic on the second floor of a store nearby that has a wide selection and some less expensive items.

Dropped in here as it is easy to find located on the main street (Charlotte) in Sydney. It has a nice selection of items made by local crafts people in Cape Breton. Beautiful pottery, jewellery and quilts. If you like artisans then you'll enjoy a quick visit here.

You'll find jewelry, textiles, paintings and hand carved wood here. Prices are very reasonable. Take home a souvenir and support the locals

Worth a visit. Local artists displayed. Many wood crafts. Bought a Larchwood (Cape Breton Manufactured) Cutting board. See photo. Would have bought more of the wood crafts, like the wood plates which could be used as cheese plates or snack plates. Also very helpful and very nice people. Let you browse without interfering but very very helpful with advice and suggestions. Oh, very reasonable prices!

Nothing particularly significant. Crafts are similar to what find at most cities in the summer. We found better things out in the countryside with better pricing as well.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to visit the Centre and sharing your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that you thought there was better craft elsewhere. If you happen to be back in Cape Breton again, be sure to pick up a copy of our Artisan Trail Map, which features over 30 artisan studios and shops around the island.
All the best,

This center features interesting and widely priced pieces of arts, craft and other artisanal products from the Cape Breton area. It is on the main street of the old Sydney downtown.

I enjoyed the shop and would definitely take a class here if I lived closer. There is a wonderful selection of art, jewelry, pottery, woodwork, soap and articles of every kind all made by local artists and all beautifully displayed. Skip the souvenir stores and buy something here.
