We've been here three times, and we love it. Watch for foxes. Leave the road to visit the red sand beach at Cabot's Landing. Eat some Lobster Tail. Go for a hike in one of the many places. Look for ghosts where pirates hid their...More

We travelled on a beautifully sunny day from Sydney to Englishtown, Ingonish Beach, Neil's Harbour, Cheticamp, Mabou and stayed at Aberdeen motel this side of Baddeck. We wish there would have been more time to spend on the myriad of trails offered along the way...More

Many people said that the drive is spectacular in good weather. It is true for maybe 20% of the overall Cabot Trail loop. The remaining 80% is a road through a forest and some parts are very bumpy or in construction. For this reason and...More

We made the Cabot Trail with a RV. It's demanding and don't try to follow the trucks, they know every bend. But it's really worth it. There are lots of opportunities to stop and see the stunning view.

Our base was in Baddeck and we set off at about 0900, driving ant-clockwise. We had lunch at the excellent Chowder House at Neil's Harbour. Later in the afternoon, we stopped at Bog and Skyline for walks, seeing moose at Skyline. We had dinner at...More

Ranks with PCH of California as one of the best drives I have done. You can do the whole trail in one day of driving, but I would recommend two. There are lots of places to stop for views and lots of places to stop...More

You must experience the Cabot Trail. The views are spectacular. The trails, such as the Skyline outside of Cheticamp. The view from the top is breathtaking. If you are as lucky as we were, you'll run into a moose or other wildlife. Accomodations: All accomodations...More

Spent 8 hours including stops on the Cabot Trail. There were many roadworks which slowed us down. It was unfortunate that we did it in the rain. The views were poor and it was useless trying to take photos. My advice would be avoid this...More
