Did this trail during the fall colors festival it was very cold and windy and part of the trail was blocked off due to an aggressive moose as it was mating season. Trail is easy to hike until you get to the boardwalk which is...More

We’ve looked forward to this hike since we began planning our retirement trip to Nova Scotia over a year ago. The trail started wirh a very stiff wind but we hoped it would be ok once we got to the boardwalk. We immediately enjoyed seeing...More

Loved it.. great groomed trail with a spectacular view ... we chose to stay on the same trail on our way back but you can go around and on a little rougher Trail. Would certainly do it again. ❤️

We have wanted to do the Skyline for a few years and finally did it this summer! The trail is easy, accessible and takes under an hour one way, depending on how fast you walk in. Benches along the way, it's a well groomed trail....More

It takes a few hours to hike the trail if you go at a reasonable pace. There is a loop option, if short on time, skip the loop and save a good 45 minutes and go out and back on the trail to the left....More

Had planned to do several hikes but had too many things planned. Picked a perfect day, sun was shinning but not too hot. The trail is fairly easy although it is about 7.5 km. The portion runs along the ocean is a little rough with...More

We did this trail the first time a number of years ago and, not knowing what to expect, the ocean views took my breath away. This time though, it was still beautiful, but it lost the "wow" factor. I would still recommend taking this trail...More

Wide easy trail and I saw baby strollers and a wheel chair... of course the boardwalks down to viewing stations have lots of steps. I’m glad I did the Skyline but it was busy and I’ve seen comparable views elsewhere on Cape Breton. I did...More

I was all excited to do this trail, but having heard more about how busy and superhighway-like the trail itself was, we decided not to bother; but when I saw people up on that high, high bluff, I wanted to be up there too, so...More

Terrific experience. At the fork in the trail take the left side heading towards cliff . Return along same path as loop does not have views worth the extra walking distance. The views are exceptional and well worth the walk. It takes 45 minutes in...More

Hi, I think it is telling you to bike through the car park, which is about 500m long. There is then part of the trail that is smooth fine gravel. I am not sure if you can ride that part though. It will probably have a few... More

Hi Fritz, We were able to buy the permits the day before at the visitor centre-not the ticket booth. If not, there was still quite a lot of parking available. Happy hiking, Tom
