Lovely Place to Hike

My wife and I spent a lovely afternoon here in June, 2016. The hiking trails were wonderful, and we enjoyed looking for fossils. A pleasant place to spend an afternoon, as we did.

This is a quick side trip off the highway, nice for a picnic or to stretch your legs.T There is a lighthouse and a rock jetty.

Went here with family, and it's great. The views are pretty, it's a good place to swim, and it's just an overall good place to go to the beach in Nova Scotia.

The place is totally quiet and surrounded by big trees, situated aside by Atlantic ocean. Near this place, the fossils of old sea animals had been discovered few decades ago. People can enjoy the sea as well as the park within the beautiful little jungle.

Arisaig PP has a wonderful little trail, leading to the beach. Some informative placards are placed about to describe the geological history of the area. Small fossils are bountiful on the beach. Would highly recommend this spot for young families.

The beach at the foot of the cliffs is loaded with fossils amid the ordinary rocks. You do have to look for them, bending over , but if you concentrate you will find all sorts of fossils. The locale is quite scenic, and we were surprised to find a lovely waterfall. The signs make it clear fhat one is not... More

A small provincial park, on the coast towards the east end of the Sunrise Trail. A small number of camping sites. Well maintained trail through wooded areas with several viewpoints out over the ocean. Access to a shale beach with some fossils; a small waterfall and stream run onto the beach. Full loop of the trail takes about 30 minutes,... More

Talk about a picture perfect setting. Hike was easy and has a sweet little waterfall as a reward for the hike in. 30 to 40 mins. Beach is located near by.
