We have taken my mother-in-law down several times-she loves it.Fortunately there are plenty of benches where she can catch her breathe, and the gardens also offers wheelchairs if one is not too stubborn to use one (no names mentioned :)) Go when the roses are out.

Just happened on these gardens as we were staying at Queen Anne Inn (highly recommend). Garden features 127 varieties of roses. They don’t peak until mid-July, but there was so much else in bloom we didn’t even miss them. Arcadia cottage on site and dyke...More

The gardens are well laid out and well-tended. They are not that extensive and walking around them is pleasant and relaxing. They maybe both royal and historic but, at the end of the day, they are gardens.

A place where you can walk, explore or just sit and enjoy your surroundings. Colours are everywhere from bright to subtle, all pleasing to the eye.

If you like beautiful gardens and a peaceful location, this is it! The staff is wonderful and the care with which these gardens are maintained is clearly evident. All specimens are identified by name and there is historic interpretations as well. Highly recommended!

This place must be gorgeous in the summer, but in late May it is somewhat muted. The pathways are well marked and virtually every plant is identified. Lots of spring colour with many plants ready to blossom. Some plots are especially interesting with many different...More

This is one of my favourite places in Nova Scotia, and my family visits every year. We are particularly fond of the rose garden; the rhododendron and azalea collection is also impressive. The Acadian house and the dykewalk are favourites of my husband and son,...More

after such a cold spring it was a pleasure the tulips, the magnolias, and the lungworts showing their best colors. The remaining trees and flowers provided such a quiet ambiance that it invited you to stay and linger around for a few more moments
