Step back in time

Hubby and I enjoyed our tour through the Randall House -A tour guide was fun and informative giving us insight into the history of the house.it was welcoming and interesting especially if you are a history buff as I.The attic was eerie but interesting with its contents and odd items.I did not see a ghost or feel a presence yet I was aware at all times of experiencing one..hope you go for a visit..you will breathe the past as every nook and cranny holds a little something for everyone!!

Well worth a visit
Oct 2019
We had visited the Prescott House earlier in the day and were expecting something similar at the Randall House. The Randall House has not been preserved, restored or decorated in quite the same way. In fact, there are not a lot of furnishings and most of the rooms have been filled with displays of local arts and other items. However, Crystal, our docent, did a fine job of relaying the history of the families who lived in the house and the local area. We ended up staying 30-45 minutes talking with Crystal, including learning about Mona Parsons, a local woman. Well worth a stop.

We had a wonderful tour of the Randall House Museum. The curator is so knowledgeable and was willing to answer to all of our questions. She is such a great storyteller and made the items come to life.

Enthusiastic staff makes the best of the museum

Randall house needs a little help from the Province to spruce it up.
However our guide more than made up for the somewhat dilapidated state of the museum with her narrative and enthusiasm.
Keep up the good work. Worth a visit.

The collection is very interesting. The best is the tour done by the curator of the museum. The stories she told us were so interesting. It gave us a very good feel of what life was in Wolfville, NS in the old days back in the 19th and 20th centuries. Not far from the museum is the waterfront Park. We had a nice stroll along the water and more appreciative of the stories we heard while in the museum. Very worthwhile visit.

I learned so much about the history of the settlers, how they made their clothes and their lifestyle. The museum was so well displayed with original furnishings and clothing.

An historical and enjoyable learning experience

I have occasionally visited Randall House Museum on my trips to Wolfville, N.S. This year's visit was especially good because of our guide ,Krystal . In each of the rooms in the museum she gave us facts which helped us to visualize the daily life of the original owners of the house . The artifacts and pictures in the home helped to clarify and sometimes correct preconceived ideas of how these settlers lived. This was definitely time well spent !

This museum is a must visit.the museum is full of intresting local artifacts that come along with great stories.the curator gave my family a personal tour.she had so much knowledge of the history of the items, the house, the land and the surrounding area. She was very happy to answer all the questions we had and even kept our 13 year old intertained with her wonderful stories.this museum really keeps the historical feeling of this small town going.wish more places would follow suit amd help their smaller museums thrive as this one does.cant wait to visit again next summer.

Great tour!

We were the only visitors at the time, and the curator gave us a personal tour of the house from top (literally - in the attic) to the bottom. She was so passionate and enthusiastic about this home and was a wealth of information. This was by far one of the best tours we took on our vacation!!
