Tartar sauce and Dill should not be used in Fish & Chips
The view from our dining area was breathtaking. The service was excellent. I ordered the Fish & chips. The fish came with the tartar sauce on top. I’ve never seen this before, and I’m allergic. Normally it’s on the side, and I give it to my wife. I had to ask for another portion, and they were gracious and provided another one. The GF batter was delicious however the fish was quite dry. The French Fries had an overwhelming unpleasant taste of dill. I like dill, but it was overpowering.

    Amazing place, food and wine!
We loved our visit to the winery! We got there early enough, around 11:30, to have an almost private tasting and our server Lila was so knowledgeable and friendly. We tried 3 premium wines and the Ortega wine won us over completely. We bought a case to take home to Ontario and were pleased to learn we can order more. Our lunch was great, a bread plate to share and seafood chowder that was so delicious. The view over the valley was second to none. A wonderful experience!

    Worth the trip
Luckett Vineyards was on our Magic Winery tour from Wolfville. This property has the best views of Annapolis Valley, a great staff member who gave us the history and background of Luckett's and introduced us to 2 yummy wines. They have the distinction of having some of the best charcuterie and lunches overlooking the valley. They also have an authentic red telephone booth from England that you can make toll free calls to anywhere in North America. The store has a nice selection of wines although couldn't find help picking out which ones I liked since it was too busy. Definitely worth a trip for the lunch(that I experienced last year) and the views.

    A beautiful spot
This is a beautiful winery and would be an excellent event venue. The staff are good and the view is extraordinary. We had lunch there and the chowder and shrimp tastatos were excellent. It isn’t designed for wine tasting though - you have to stand at the bar to try the wine. Disappointing when you’re just feet away from the dining room and its incredible view and comfortable tables and chairs. Highly recommended to visit and have lunch. The wine tasting setup are what made me rate it4/5 , because otherwise it’s 5/5

    Great place for lunch
Went for lunch while touring the area. No reservation but didn't have to wait long to get a table. Beautiful gardens and views over the valley. We shared a generous charcuterie platter with wine. Great food, friendly staff and great service.

We finished our holiday in Nova Scotia with a tasting and lunch at Luckett's, after checking out of our holiday rental and heading off to the airport. The weather was great, which only added to the atmosphere. The restaurant overlooking the vines, with views beyond to the bay, is an amazing place for a relaxing lunch. The tasting at the bar was informal, less structured (and cheaper) than at other wineries in the area - we weren't provided with tasting notes or guidance. However, it was fun and pointed us to each try a different wine (by the glass) with our lunch, The food was excellent and probably the only restaurant we experienced all holiday that didn't confuse quantity with quality! A stroll through the vines after lunch, photos at the iconic red phone box was a great way to finish our holiday. Excellent value, I thoroughly recommend a visit!

Firstly, the view here is beautiful. Seated in the indoor restaurant with the large door/windows wide open was like being outside. The whole restaurant overlooks the vineyard (and the famous British red phone box) as it slopes down towards the sea, and the farms in between. At the table, my party found the server very practiced and amicable. She suggested we do a wine tasting in the adjoining tasting room while we waited for our orders to arrive. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations based on a few personalized questions. Back in the dining room we enjoyed top-notch, fresh local mussels, and the suggested wine pairings were excellent. After a day of winery visits, Luckett’s Tidal Bay white (a regional blend) was our favourite from the district. Also highly recommend taking home some of the winery’s spritzers as a patio drink this summer.

Came here on a wine tour.
Our wine bar tender was fantastic. Charming, charismatic and well informed.
The store was amazing in design- it looked like a candy store but for wine.
The tasting bar is also quite classy.
We had lunch here as well. I had the beef sandwich and house salad. It was such a delicious and filling meal.
I quite enjoyed their fizz and tidal bay. Delicious!!
The scenery is very nice you can see the bay past the vineyard and the restaurant location allows you to see just that!
And can’t forget the infamous phone booth!

We have been going to Luckett’s since they opened. We have noticed a significant decrease in level of service over they years, but have always put it to Luckett’s getting more business and having growing pains learning how to adapt the service to the increase in demand. But after today, my daughter said it best. “They are catering to the wine tours. Remember when he (Pete) used to come out and say hi and give us chips? And now they treat us like dirt”. Today when we showed up to have lunch, the lineup was huge. So we went elsewhere and decided to come back when it was quieter to have a drink on the patio. Since we arrived at 4:10 (and the bistro closed at 4), the server had to ask for permission for us to sit on the patio and have a drink. They tried to put us at the back with no view. We asked to sit by the edge for the view. There were lots of spots, but the server HUFFED, and said she would set it up with a scowl. We left.

This has been our experience for the last 3 years. They are slow, the food is getting skimpy, and the servers are run off their feet. If it was not for the view, I would have stopped trying to go years ago. After being made to feel as an inconvenience today 45 minutes before closing - I’m done!!!

We're sorry to hear that you have not enjoyed your last few visits with us. As you mentioned we are very busy on some days, which does result in a line. Although we do our best to have quick and efficient service to be able to lessen the wait for those who chose to stay, it's not always possible. Arriving after the bistro has closed for lunch does pose some challenges for us as the majority of tables are used for evening service, which we have to have available in order to be able to set them, and have them ready for that second service. Despite the challenge of continuing service after close we would never want our guests to feel they received anything less than great service and we are disappointed to hear that was the case for you when you requested to change tables. Our tasting bar is the portion of our business that does remain open until 5pm, however, I can understand if that was not the experience you were looking for at that time. We completely respect and understand your decision, and we appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this winery. I highly recommend doing a wine tasting, and trying as many of their wines as you can. You will not be disappointed, they were all pretty amazing especially Triumph and the Phone Box ones.

The food was amazing. The charcuterie board was the best I have ever had at a restaurant. They even made an amazing chicken Caesar salad. The chicken which was locally sourced tasted so much fresher than any grocery store chicken. Portions are large.

Service was quick and efficient although you never felt rushed. All staff were very friendly.

They have a retail store so you can pick up your favourite wines, as well as other items they use on site such as their olive oil, meats, olives, the list goes on.

I highly recommend Lucketts. We cannot wait to visit again. It was just a really nice afternoon.

I was amazed by the views and excited about my lunch. I was however disappointed when I got my lunch. It was described as a panini but was just a large burger bun and was not grilled on the top ...so how was it a panini? There were a lot of soft mushy foods inside which turned the whole thing into a gooey mess. The salad was described as a kale ceaser but had very little dressing and the kale just not ok. ( needs to be massaged to get softer) I did like the wine but found out when leaving that I paid $15 more to have it at the table than it was sold for in the store a few feet away. The service was fine views amazing food not so much! Would not go back.

I live near this winery and have celebrated my birthday there with friends for many years. It has always been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. This year, however, we were told their new policy would not permit them put 2 tables together to accommodate 8 diners. Their primary concern now is to "manage the flow," rather than take care of their guests. Therefore, we had to sit at a table at the very back. It was so noisy that people at one end of the table could not hear people at the other end. And we could not enjoy the beautiful view. We also noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food. I have always been fond of this winery - proud of what Pete Luckett has built, and I have strongly recommended it as a special place to go. Not anymore. Next year we will be finding a different winery for our celebration.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As you identified, we have to be very strategic in our seating due to the volume of business we experience. We have to ensure we can manage all our guests the best way possible, instead of only accommodating the preference of table location for only a few. We understand that didn't work for you and truly wish we could offer the front row of tables to everyone that comes through! We're sorry to hear you did not enjoy your food on your visit. We will certainly share this feedback to our team in the kitchen. We wish you the best with your future celebrations.

Husband and I ate lunch here while on vacation. Neither of us are wine drinkers but I was advised that the view from the outdoor restaurant was amazing, and it most certainly was. Our meal was superb and the service friendly but not overbearing. The grounds are a gardener’s paradise. Definitely a highlight of our trip!!

This meal was even better than the one in Trinity and the service, view ambiance was the highlight of our trip so far. We shared the shuckers dozen oysters, the mussels and the calamari. The oysters were as good as we have had at other good eateries elsewhere but the calamari and mussels were by far the best we have had on this trip. The wine sauce with the mussels tasted like wine sauce it was excellent. The calamari was very lightly breaded and so tender and succulent. Add to this exceptionally good service in a place that gets very busy and you get 5 stars. We may have to go here again before we move on.

We dined here while on our staycation from Cape Breton,

Made reservations easily the night prior. Was even greeted by name when we arrived for supper.

Beautiful view. Excellent food and amazing wine.

I had never tried their wines but server stated if we did not care for the wine after we sampled the bottle she would find us something else. That speaks wonders. But we loved the wine.

I started with the carrot soup and had the chicken dish as my entrée. Both were outstanding and very well presented.

As the place got busier service did drop. She was so busy. Water did not get refilled after initial top up. Nor did she ever refill our wine glasses.

We felt bad for her. She was lovely but I do believe another server on shift would of made the experience even better.

We will be back.
