I booked with North Star for a night of Aurora Hunting in early April. Unfortunately after several hours of searching for a cloudless spot, we had to turn back. Our guide didn't want us to leave disappointed, so he took us to the ice highway and used flashlights to light up the ice. We took some awesome pictures there! They... More

....Joe's team did not dissappoint me. His cousin Dee (sorry if I spelt that wrong) and co-worker I-Hsin picked us up at the arranged time and we headed off in -25c temps. Having left Perth, Western Australia 3 days earlier, this was quite a shock to the system. His enthusiasm was infectious and he was just as eager to see... More

We were in Yellowknife in mid March and went out with North Star Adventures one night. Unfortunately there wasn't much to see that night (just a faint view of the northern lights) but even so Joe and his team tried hard to get us a view - stopped multiple places, went pretty far (in my opinion), etc. Joe was fantastic... Joe and his team from North Star Adventures made the whole 3-day adventure phenomenally easy and fun! Everything from Canada Goose Parkas to tripods for our cameras was provided. Joe, Deneze and other team members were knowledgeable, informative... More

We were lucky enough to be part of a large wedding party that used Joe's services for the weekend festivities. Joe and all his staff are highly professional, patient, detailed in their knowledge about the history of Yellowknife, absolutely enjoyable in every way. I recommend you rent jacket and snowpants and BOOTS from Joe's company. The coats are industrial strength... More

Joe Buffalo Child and his group were awesome! He's knowledgable,, interesting and unique! Joe knew exactly where to take us for the best aurora viewing, and led us on awesome Ice Road and village tours. There is no better way to travel than with North Star Adventures.
