Cutest village in NFLD
Sep 2020
There are many neat villages in NFLD but this was my favourite. It is such a beautiful fishing village. It has such a neat vibe to it! There is a fantastic brewery here. A great place to walk around. There is a hike up the mountain that gives a beautiful view over the harbour. The town isn’t too far from downtown Saint John’s, it’s a must to do for a quick visit or a longer visit!

Cute

Cute little space. Great brewery. Other than the brewery not much else to do but starting the hike to signal hill from here was great.

Great little spot with beautiful views, friendly people just outside of St. John's
Jul 2020
Quidi Vidi Village was easily the highlight of our trip to Newfoundland. Although we weren't there long, we had time to visit the gift shop/museum, brewery, and hung out with the locals who were more than welcoming. We watched them filet freshly caught cod, and we had such a great time watching boats come in and out all morning! Hi Cap'n Frank!

Beautiful Spot
Feb 2020
Gorgeous picnic spot in the summer months but also worth a visit in the winter. Put on good boots and jacket and walk down through the snow from St John's Duckworth St to Quidi Vidi, takes around 30-40 mins and most passing by in cars will think you are mad but it is a healthy walk and good views at Quidi Vidi. Of course you then need to treat yourself to a craft beer at the Quidi Vidi 'tap house's and if you are lucky there will be music too.

sunday brunch at Mallard Cottage
Feb 2020 • Couples
Delightful setting at Quidi Vidi . Restaurant very popular and always difficult to get a table - surely this is a really good sign.
Had the chefs brunch and not disappointed with the food at all.
Warm and cosy with lots of snow outside so log fire was a real treat !

Huge construction fence, brewery with little parking
Jul 2019 • Couples
We heard a lot of praise for this village but when we got there, we were puzzled. There was a huge construction fence although we could see there were quaint houses across the lake. It is probably a nice view when there is no huge chain link fence. There was a brewery but we didn't go in as we didn't see any available parking. We looked for Mallard Cottage and did not see it at all. It was just a small area of narrow streets so there must have been something we were missing. Perhaps if the huge fence wasn't there, we would have had a different opinion.

Such a cute town. I will return every time I’m in NFLD. Take the brewery tour. I absolutely love this little town.

Current State of Construction Ruined the Visit
Nov 2019
All the construction going on limited access to the site and made it difficult to get to the best picture taking spots. At least the sun was shining, even though it was cold. If the work is done before next summer, then it is again, definitely a place to visit.

Unique experience
Nov 2019 • Couples
This quaint little inlet north of downtown Saint John’s is a marvel. The inlet to the sea is remarkably small and it is a testimony to the skill of the sailors that they are able to get their boats in and out of the tiny little harbor. There is also a humorous episode in the past where an iceberg block the entrance for several weeks. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to visit the local craft brewery there. It has a great local reputation. All in all it Certainly
Isa worthwhileTaxi cab ride from downtown.

A Must Visit
Aug 2019
We loved our visit here. If you are into crowds plan your visit around the regatta. If you would rather just take in the beauty in quiet avoid the regatta. It is so close to St. Johns be sure not to miss visiting!
