This park was not on my radar, and when we happened across it, we were amazed and delighted. Walking trails, skate boarders and bikers, swimmers and splash park, canteen, and clearly in the winter it was a skating facility too (could tell from signage). Many memorial benches, beautiful landscaping.

This park has everything, a place for kids, teens, adults. A skating loop in winter, a stunning warm vibe in summer. You can find theatre performances throughout the summer as well. Home of the St. John's Folk Festival, best music festival in the province.

We really enjoy our evenings skating at The Loop. It’s a beautiful facility and well maintained. I was disappointed this year to see that Beaver Tails is no long there. It would be nice to be able to get a hot chocolate or a treat. But the skating is awesome!

This is a lovely park in the middle of St. John's. The gardens and play areas were well maintained. I would like to visit in the winter when the rink is frozen.

Located beside the Colonial Building, the park is rather large. There are many shaded areas and enough benches for those inclined for a rest. The park has a couple of bandstand structures and a large area for the rugrats to play. Flowers abounded, even in September. It was opened in 1891 in honour of a former governor of the then colony.

This restaurant is relatively new and was packed. Super friendly staff and great food too. Came highly recommended by our hotel and I can see why. Keep up the great work!

My wife and i took our grandson here to enjoy the splash pad and playground area. Very well maintained part of town with lovely flowers and trees. Close to Quidi Vidi.

I stumbled upon Bannerman park after following part of the Grand Concourse trail which led to the park. On the warm, sunny, summer afternoon I visited, the park was busy with locals of all ages (and their furry friends) enjoying themselves. There are lovely, shaded areas to relax and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the fresh air. Sprawling lawn areas offered space for kids to play and adults to spread out a blanket and have a picnic. Plenty of paved walking pathways crisscross the park. There are restroom facilities located inside the park. A food concession is also on premises. I found the park to be exceptionally clean and the grounds very well maintained.

When we visited the weather was quite hot so the park was well used by locals, many of whom do not have outdoor space at their homes, or AC.
There is a swimming pool, playground, green space and splashpad. Having a young child with special needs, I wasn’t keen on the splash pad being only a few feet from the parking lot, with no type of barrier. I would think this would be if concern to all parents, especially those with younger children.
During our week in St. John’s we attended this park almost every day.

What a fantastic park in the middle of St. John's. The day I was there, lots of kids playing in the splash pad, tons of people in the park's pool just beyond the splash pad, beautiful trails throughout, benches, a refreshment stand as well. I saw folks with blankets enjoying the sunshine and breeze, while others strolled through with family and significant others. Such a lovely park and very easy to find. Right on Military Road. Beautiful trees and flowers, lots of shade as well, but lots of nice open areas to get some sun. For a relaxing afternoon, Bannerman Park is the place to go.
