Spent some time in the provincial archives at the Rooms under the guidance of Melanie Tucker and her excellent staff. Very knowledgable and extremely helpful. Then we had lunch at restaurant there - stunning amazing view if the harbour, and the Narrows - highly reccomend the seafood chowder.…

The Rooms is a fabulous museum with something for everyone. Also has great views of the city. And the restaurant at the top has the BEST fish tacos I have every had!

This is a small museum and art gallery; some of the museum exhibits rotate, and the gallery exhibits also change; currently Group of Seven plus hooked rugs. There's a cafe on the top floor with great views of St. John's. Social distancing is strictly maintained here, which is reassuring, even though few people were there when I visited.…

Beautiful museum with so much to see. We had our 7 year old with us and he was able to keep an interest. You’ll need at least 2 hours to see all 4 floors of galleries and museums. COVID-19: several interactive screens, theatres, and archives are currently unavailable. This made it somewhat difficult to understand what we were looking at behind the glass case, but overall wasn’t a big issue. Hand sanitizer readily available at each exhibit. Must reserve time slot in advance.…
