This comprehensive tour features the best of "the Far East of the Western World". Travel from the northernmost tip of the island of Newfoundland to the most easterly point in North America through national parks - including Gros Morne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn of ancient peoples - the Maritime Archaic, Vikings, and Basques - as you travel to coastal fishing communities to meet the friendly and hospitable people of today. Boat tours provide the opportunity to see whales, thousands of seabirds, and, depending on the time of year, icebergs! Sample the local food and drink to become an honorary "Newfoundlander"!

*Please note that our June 12 departure is bilingual English/German, and our August 14 departure is bilingual English/French

All the exhibits are really interesting, but my children love the animals. I enjoyed the exhibit about WW1.

Spent some time in the provincial archives at the Rooms under the guidance of Melanie Tucker and her excellent staff. Very knowledgable and extremely helpful. Then we had lunch at restaurant there - stunning amazing view if the harbour, and the Narrows - highly reccomend the seafood chowder.

This is a small museum and art gallery; some of the museum exhibits rotate, and the gallery exhibits also change; currently Group of Seven plus hooked rugs. There's a cafe on the top floor with great views of St. John's. Social distancing is strictly maintained here, which is reassuring, even though few people were there when I visited.

Beautiful museum with so much to see. We had our 7 year old with us and he was able to keep an interest. You’ll need at least 2 hours to see all 4 floors of galleries and museums. COVID-19: several interactive screens, theatres, and archives are currently unavailable. This made it somewhat difficult to understand what we were looking at behind the glass case, but overall wasn’t a big issue. Hand sanitizer readily available at each exhibit. Must reserve time slot in advance.
