About
This level, 3.8 km trail loops around Quidi Vidi Lake. During the summer rowers prepare for the Royal St. john's Regatta, held here annually in August since 1826. Observe waterfowl and seabirds that use the Lake year-round as a resting and feeding area.

Favourite Walk!
Nov 2020
This is a great 4km walk with beautiful views, one of my favourites that's close to downtown. It's very dog friendly, as there are lots of garbage cans / posts with doggy bags attached to them.

I would highly recommend an early walk on this trail during a sunny day. Beautiful view of Quidi Vidi, ocean and rugged terrain.

Well laid out, beautiful hike
Jul 2020
Appx. 3.8 km hike looping Quidi Vidi lake ... a great way to see the entire community, because they all seemed to be there with their dogs! Nice "elder-park" facility for exercise, ball field, children's playground, and off-shoot hiking trails. Beautiful park, great hike.

Only a few minutes from St John's, this charming seaside cove has lots to offer. Easy walking, with lots to see and do.
There is a nice walking trail just off the parking lot that takes you to the top of the hill overlooking the cove..absolutely scenic..not to be missed!

Peaceful little walk
Oct 2019
3.7 km walk around QV Lake, to a dam and a little bridge at one end and boardwalks on the side opposite the road. Joggers, walkers, pets, bird life, artist painting the scenery, not crowded, good exercise, lovely walk.

Tip: there is free parking and a clean bathroom on the road side.

Its o.k..The trail is around a very small lake in the city
Aug 2019
The trail is just a regular path around a small lake in the city. Quid Vidi is a little preserved fishing village just east of the lake. That is kept in place inside a growing and changing city. St. Johns is becoming more modern and this little village is a kind of museum but has got a plastic feel to it. A bunch of restaurants are jammed nearby, as is a small micro brewery. Parking was very hard to find and scattered. Drive out of the city I sure there are more organic remnants of fishing villages around the Peninsula and more pleasant walks

We drove there from Signal Hill and it only takes 5 minutes. Another very nice little fishing port. Worth the visit.
