Great FUN!
Feb 2020
Great fun! What could be more fun than drinking beer and throwing axes?
The answer is nothing! It's the utilmate fun!

The "instructors" are fun and helpful.
They have a good bar with lots of craft beers on tap.

Really good place to get your fun on with colleagues or friends, or even family!

Nice spot

We all enjoyed ourselves here. Was a group of about 20. Good time had by all. Beer was good. Bartender service could use a little improvement. Didn’t seem overly friendly.

Best way to end an evening!!!
Jul 2018
After an expensive meal at the best restaurant in town (Raymond's), the waiter asked my boyfriend and I what our plans were for the rest of the evening...and I blurted out "We're going to THROW AXES!!" He thought that was the greatest thing he'd ever heard!! And it WAS!!!! What a FUN experience and it's harder than it looks!! I was even given proper footwear to wear inside to protect my toes. You have to go and try this! You won't regret it!

Fun and different Outing for any occasion!

Top Notch!
Neat activity with excellent staff that give you an introductory ‘crash course’ in axe throwing.
Fun atmosphere, lighthearted atmosphere however keeping safety at the forefront.
You can’t even enjoy a microbrew as long as it does not go into the throwing area.
It even has an area for minors so that the whole family can go.

We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. Best 22 bucks you could spend in St. John’s for an hour of activity!

Great time

This was a good bit of fun for something different around town. The staff were good, but I did find the bartender a bit stand offish...not great when dealing with customers is your job. Also, could use some help in the ax sharpening department. We found the axes looked shiny after they sharpened them but were hardly sharp. I do recommend this place to friends for a good time out. Beer was great!!

You have to try it!
Dec 2018 • Friends
Went with a large group from work. Wasn't sure what to expect. Figured it was just some novelty fun that would be new and exciting at first, but I fully expected to get bored rather quickly. I couldn't have been more wrong! The more you throw, the more you want to throw!
The staff were friendly and helpful. They were able to keep a close eye on everything (safety is obviously key with this type of activity) and they were quick to step in and give some throwing tips. And they did this without it feeling like you were constantly being watched, which was the perfect balance to make you feel at ease.
The beer available was limited to a decent selection of local beers which was great for people like me, but the big brand folks might be disappointed. Hopefully it forces a few of them to escape their comfort zone and try something different. Their is no hard liquor available, probably due to the fact that axe throwing is the main point after all. Cider and wine are also available.
As for the axe throwing, there is a skill to it, but with the help of the passionate staff, it doesn't take too long to get relatively comfortable with the art.
For those under age, there are also a couple lanes outside the bar area. When we left there was a family there seeming to have a good time. I was told that kids as young as 6 years old have been there.
This is definitely something I will try again!

Excellent Engaging Experience!
Sep 2018
Did this for the first time with a larger group and have been waiting to try for some time! I was not disappointed at all and would have stayed for another hour if the group wasn't moving on. It takes some time to get used to it if you have never thrown axes but with great instruction you'll get the hang of it for loads of fun! They have the an awesome little bar area "the axe hole" with local craft beers on tap to try! It's a fun filled experience you can have with a pint and is actually very safe despite what people may think!

Got My Afternoon Thrills

The hours vary for this thing to do while in St.John’s.

Had to sign a waiver form using a tablet set up in the front foyer.

Tim, had a bunch of folks to explain safety stuff on when and how to throw an ax properly. How to retrieve it safely. All in all you would think it would be common sense, but we all know sense isn’t all that common. Probably a city ordinance too. I don’t know honestly.

Anyhow I digress. Seems to be a very popular place. In the hour time I rented for $19.99 plus taxes, I got to throw the ax at the wooden dart board until my heart was content.

I had a lot of fun. I get the feeling it’s more of a group outing thing though, but I really just went for the proverbial you know what and giggles. Just one more thing to check out in St.John’s.

I can always say I tried out axe throwing. Just don’t think it’s for me. Nothing against the place. It’s a case of it’s me,not you.

Who knew this could be so much fun!

Happened to walk by their sign on the street and decided to check it out. Very thorough on their safety as one can imagine and then they let us go. Fairly cheap for an hour of throwing. Beer for purchase or soda. Our group was only 4 and it was the perfect size. We had a blast throwing these axes and a little friendly competition. Definitely a great time!
