The Loyalist Burial ground in Saint John is well kept and very interesting. Many of the memorials are so old they can’t be made out. It’s fascinating and well worth at least a walk through if you’re in the area.

Took an evening stroll after dinner through this cemetery. It is so old and most of the headstones are hard to read but it was so beautiful and peaceful. Well kept still to this day. The oldest date I could find was 1786.

The parl like Area is the final resting place of some of Saint John's earliest settlers - including many Americans loyal to the British Crown, who emigrated from the United States during and after the American Revolutionary War.

The Irving family converted this Loyalist burial ground to a park, and it was interesting to read some of the headstones. We stopped here as part of a shore excursion. I would have liked to spend more time there. Very peaceful.

Located across from King's Square, we found the Burial Ground. All throughout the area, there are tombstones. The grounds are well manicured with colorful flowers and wonderful shrubbery. There is a fountain/pool with a statue of beavers located near the entrance facing King's Square. It...More
