We stumbled upon this park by mistake. Very interesting history, lovely setting, they even have a restaurant there, which I was surprised to learn is run by a non-profit society. If I lived in Saint John, I would go often.

I was pumped to go to Stonehammer Geopark - the office is at the museum. Driving all the way here I was told that there is no actual 'geopark' the 'geos' are everywhere including Rockwood Park. It's not an actual thing.

Access the fundy Drive at St. Martins, and don't let the folks in Sussex visitor info tell you there's no place to stay in St. martins.

While I recall geology in high school it really isn't all that captivating to me. keeps my interest for the time it take to read the information board. I could see a definite interest to those more geologically inclined. Park is clean and well kept for those who attend.

Nice photo of the cliff face explaining the geology and showing the geological features. Then the nice beach and rocks for collecting. There is great fast food near by. Great spot to spend an afternoon.

A definite must, especially for families. Lots to see and do, from the outdoors to museums and cultural things. Kayaking is the most unusual and a great fun transportation you can imagine for travelling back in geological prehistory.

Great geologic history, and also history of geology, all well explained in booklets, brochures and on information panels at some of the sites.

Have to make sure you check the tides table and get there before the tide starts to come in. We wanted to see the caves so we had to go through a little bit of water to get to them. Well worth it. Spectacular view.

Stonehammer Geopark adds an extra layer of interest to many existing attractions in the Saint John area. Most locals wouldn't realize how interesting the geology is in the area. Visit the website at stonehammergeopark.com to get a better understanding of how this park works, as it covers a massive area from St. Martins to Lepreau.

The entire area is great if you love amazing rocks. Though one warning to tourists the address is not correct and don't look for an actual park. The Geopark represents the entire Saint John region.
