I really liked the port due to it's size and spacious waiting area while we were waiting for our excursion to start. There are several shipping containers that were converted to little shops. I forgot my charging cable on the ship, so it was very convenient to run back onboard to get what I needed. Because the waiting area was inside, you didn't have to worry about standing in the rain while you wait for your excursion. I would vote this as one of the best ports I'VE VISITED.

The cruise port is right in downtown Saint John. This makes it very easy to get to many of the sights, museums and stores.

We stopped here on a cruise. While it was nice to visit there really was not much to do here. The walk from the cruise ship where we docked was quite long to get us into the downtown area an excess of 20 minute walk which for us was not an issue but many elderly on the cruise ship were not able to do that. The area seemed clean and felt safe

Hurricane Dorian had just made a "hit" here (although it was at a lower rating) but, once the 24+ hours of pounding rain and impressively heavy winds abated, we all came out of our holes (or cabins, we were cruising, after all) to be welcomed by a friendly group of people in the terminal and a fun little craft fair market in the parking lot.

Upon our ship's departure, a bagpiper played such a wonderful variety of tunes and interacted with our ship in an unexpected, delightful way. We noticed (after learning more about bagpipers and the wars) that he had the necessary defensive gear: a knife in his sock and a short sword at his side. Bagpipers cannot carry guns (only 2 hands) so this is the only means he has to defend himself in war. Now you know.

St. John is very walkable and there is no shortage of historical sights to see along the way. On Sunday, we found some attractions closed but the churches were open. The community has a Public Art project in place: beautifully rendered salmon (looks like salmon to me) in an imaginative artistic translation. We've noticed that different places we've visited have done similar things with painted ponies (New Mexico) and painted long horn sheep. We loved looking for these.

Outside the terminal building was our first encounter with the grand and glorious salmon art piece. Use the terminal as a launching point to put some flesh on the bones of Saint John.

Really nice clean port that made you feel safe. They have free WIFI. We came to the port by cruise ship and they had two really huge tents set up. One had benches and chairs so people could sit there and use the WIFI. The other had all vendors selling their goods. Every one was very friendly. We really enjoyed our visit to St. John as we walked around this beautiful city.

We arrived in Saint John, New Brunswick on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship called Grandeur of the Seas. You are always offered Excursions but we did our own and what a pleasure to tour this city! From local market to upscale mall they have it! Dotted with quaint homes and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed our day there immensely!

I had visited Port of Saint John cruising two times and I had such a great time. There is such a friendly atmosphere and welcoming at the pier. My first time they gave us red carnations and the second time a local singer was entertaining us. I love the waterfront and the three sisters lamp. I had so much fun visiting Kings square where I found nice restaurants. I loved the handcraft market at pier with traditional Canadian product and souvenirs, my favorite maple cookies. During my second visit, I took a tour to the beautiful Bay of Fundy. What an amazing place to visit if you love nature! I was impressed about how the sea water can lower so deep at daytime and go so high at night time. It was fun to go under a covered bridge. And to end the tour I found a restaurant with a delicious clam chowder and fish and chips! Don't even mention the beautiful lighthouses and pine trees that I had seen during this visit. The nice touch I had enjoyed at the farewell was the piper playing for us at pier. There is so much to see and do at this port. I have to come back again! I highly recommend to visit Port of Saint John!!😊

Could not fault the kind service given to cruise passengers as they disembarked. We were given a map of the city and major items of interest were pointed out and our granddaughter was given a Canadian flag which was a nice touch.
We had to return back to Saint John the next day due to a storm further south and the reception was just a pleasant.
Markets within the terminals were excellent selling local goods.

We stayed at the Hilton and got to watch a few cruise ships pull in and depart. One of the captains even pulled a 180. It was awesome to watch.
