An unsightly port with a view of a pulp mill in the distance and its pollution wafting in with the fog. Not worth the parking meter's fee.

Could not fault the kind service given to cruise passengers as they disembarked. We were given a map of the city and major items of interest were pointed out and our granddaughter was given a Canadian flag which was a nice touch. We had to return back to Saint John the next day due to a storm further south and the reception was just a pleasant. Markets within the terminals were excellent selling local goods.

There is not much to do in this small port it appears just to be for cruise ship passengers to visit other parts of St John.

Port Saint John is located in the southern part of New Brunswick in Saint John. Even though cruise ships come in here, you can see right away that there is quite a bit of cargo ship traffic in and out of here as well. I was here with the Disney Magic cruise ship on October 3, 2019. It would be a chilly day, with temperatures starting in the mid 30s and highs in the mid 50s for the day. There are three different cruise terminals in Port Saint John. On the day we were here, all three main terminals were occupied. The three terminals are the Marco Polo Cruise Terminal, Diamond Jubilee Cruise Terminal and the Long Wharf Cruise Terminal. We were docked at the Diamond Jubilee Cruise Terminal on the day of our visit. This terminal is the furthest of the three from the "action" so to speak, but not too bad of a walk. After passing the other two terminals, we made it to the area where there is an outdoor market, as well as the starting point for a tour that we had booked ahead of time. We wouldn't spend much time at the port itself. After getting to the main area next to the terminals, we went over to the Ambassatours area as we had booked the Big Pink Bus tour for the day. The only thing I was surprised about with that was the wait was over an hour just to get on one of the buses. I guess they were a little overwhelmed having only nine buses and three cruise ships in port for the day. I reviewed my experiences for that portion on the pages for each of the places visited and the tour itself. Overall, the port and Saint John was a great visit. We couldn't do everything in one day, so it may warrant a visit again the future. It was neat to see the sign and mural that was made by children on the Disney Magic back in 2012. If you are considering a visit to this area, I would definitely recommend it.
